Orange Bowl 2015: Latest Odds, Prediction for Oklahoma vs. Clemson Playoff
It might be the most bizarre sight this entire postseason: The Clemson Tigers are still underdogs, according to the sportsbooks.
The No. 1 team in the country, the only undefeated team remaining in college football, is a one-score underdog to the Oklahoma Sooners in the Orange Bowl. The line was Oklahoma favored by 1.5 when the matchup was made official, and now it's moved more in the favor of the Sooners to as high as four points.
It's another chapter in the book of disrespect that Clemson has been served all year long. The Tigers have yet to lose. Common sense would say that until a team has lost, it needs to be considered the favorite, and that is the case with the first College Football Playoff semifinal matchup on Dec. 31.
Here's all the latest info you need to know in regards to the Orange Bowl.

X-Factor: Samaje Perine, Oklahoma RB
It seems like forever ago when Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine broke the FBS record for most rushing yards in a single game. That Nov. 22, 2014 night against the Kansas Jayhawks put Perine in the conversation as one of the best running backs in the country.
The beginning to the 2015 campaign was anything but great for Perine. He only eclipsed the century mark once in his first six games. In three of those games, he averaged less than four yards per carry and four contests saw Perine get less than 20 carries
But while quarterback Baker Mayfield has been getting most of the credit for why Oklahoma is in a position to win a national championship, offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley has made it a priority for Oklahoma to be a balanced team with Perine and fellow running back Joe Mixon carrying the load.
If you need an idea of how crucial Perine has been in the second half of the season, Aaron Brenner of the Post & Courier has these numbers that are mind boggling:
In the last six games, Perine has averaged 7.4 yards per carry despite totaling less than 20 carries three times. Four times he's gone over 100 yards rushing, including a 201-yard performance on Oct. 24 against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
When Oklahoma has the ability to run the ball like it has, it presents a greater challenge for Clemson. Complimented by the freshman Mixon, who has 1,094 yards from scrimmage in his first full college football season, Perine is one of the major reasons why Mayfield has thrown only three interceptions from Oct. 3 on.
It's no surprise Perine is a quality running back when you look at his training regimen. Junior defensive back Zack Sanchez recalled a time where Perine was in the training room at Oklahoma:
"Coach Rodney (Rideaux) is talking to Samaje the whole time thinking that he can't do it," Sanchez said, per Oklahoma's athletic site. "So Samaje gets to his last five reps and he's just staring at Rodney the whole time. So he did 100 reps at 225 with ease and that's when I knew this was the strongest dude that I've ever seen in my life."
The 5'10'', 230-pound Perine is a physical specimen that has been a key reason for Oklahoma's balanced attack. Should he have a big game, that could be the difference that swings in favor for the Sooners.
