Jordan Spieth Comments on Expectations for 2016

Mike NorrisDec 3, 2015

The current No. 1 golfer in the world, Jordan Spieth, had an amazing year in 2015. So good, in fact, he said he's "not sure" he can top this success in 2016, per Steve DiMeglio of USA Today.

However, Spieth doesn't seem to lack confidence and said at some point he may find something he can improve on, per DiMeglio: "When I’ve done some thinking about it, which is not much as of now, that’s more of what December’s for, to re-evaluate and set new goals. But when I have done some thinking, in my mind I can certainly improve in spots of my game."

If he does improve any aspect of his game, it won't be good news for the rest of the PGA Tour.

Spieth, who has won five tournaments in 2015, led the tour in lowest scoring average and was by far the best putter—leading in putting average, one-put percentage and putts per round.

According to DiMeglio, he was fourth in scrambling, shots gained and tee to the green.

And for good measure, the 22-year-old added this hole-in-one Thursday at the Hero World Challenge, courtesy of the PGA Tour:

In other words, there isn't anything he doesn't do well.

At this point, there aren't too many ways you can describe Spieth's game other than how Kevin Faigle of WRDW TV in Augusta, Georgia, so eloquently put it a few days ago:

He certainly is—and if he's better next year, the rest of the PGA Tour is in trouble.
