College Football's Most Important Offers of the Week
Despite an up-and-down season, Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin and his staff are continuing to make noise on the recruiting trail.
The Aggies 2016 class currently sits as the nation’s No. 16 group, but Sumlin is among those working feverishly to ensure a strong close to the current cycle.
Last week, the Aggies offered 3-star Oklahoma athlete Calvin Bundage.
The 6’3”, 200-pounder, who is nearing 20 offers, said the offer is something that caught his attention, as detailed by Taylor Hamm of GigEm247.
“I’ve been talking with them for a little bit,” Bundage told Hamm. “I’m still wide open to everyone so I’m definitely considering them. From the outside looking in, A&M looks like a pretty good program and they’re winning. I’ll probably get up there in January to check them out.”
What makes Bundage a valuable prospect is his ability to line up and play safety or linebacker. His skill set even opens up the possibility of playing a hybrid role at the college level.
He told Hamm that the Aggies have talked to him about playing safety.
Among the other schools who are in the running with Bundage are Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Oregon and Tennessee.
While the Sooners are the favorites to keep him home, the fact that the Aggies are getting a visit gives them an opportunity to make a strong impression on him.

Michigan offers 2017 QB
It hasn’t taken Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh long to make an impact on the recruiting trail.
The Wolverines have a top-10 class in the 2016 cycle, and Harbaugh and his staff are already hard at work in identifying top 2017 talents.
Last week, Michigan offered 3-star quarterback Kasim Hill.
The 6’2”, 195-pounder also holds early offers from Boston College, Michigan State, Northwestern, Penn State, Syracuse, Virginia and Wake Forest.
Hill becomes the seventh 2017 passer to net an offer from the Wolverines.

UNC after touted 2017 OL
As one of the top offensive linemen in the 2017 cycle, 4-star Matt Bockhorst will have his share of suitors emerge over the course of his recruitment.
Last week, the Wolverines were joined by North Carolina in tendering the Ohio star.
Boston College, Clemson, Michigan State and Penn State are among the schools who have already offered Bockhorst.
Given the success the Tar Heels are enjoying on the field, their recruiting efforts figure to get a boost in the coming months as well.

UCLA offers 2018 WR
A handful of prep sophomores have already made a name for themselves in recruiting circles.
In the loaded state of California, one such prospect is receiver Brian Hightower.
Last week, the 6’3”, 195-pounder earned a big offer from in-state power UCLA.

The Bruins join Alabama, Arizona State, Nebraska, Tennessee and Washington as early offers for the stud Golden State playmaker.
Considering the momentum Bruins head coach Jim Mora Jr. and his staff have built up on the recruiting trail, the offer to Hightower figures to make them a player in his recruitment.
