National Dog Show 2015 Results: Best in Show and List of Winners
Charlie the Skye Terrier won this year's Best in Show at the National Dog Show in Oaks, Pennsylvania, according to the event's official Twitter account.

The event, which took place on Nov. 15 and included seven new breeds this year, was broadcast on Thursday as a part of the annual Thanksgiving day tradition.
Charlie was a worthwhile winner and is already an accomplished champion, having won 79 Best in Show titles already, per Taylor Weatherby of HollywoodLife.com.
“I’m kind of biased, but I think he’s an exceptional show dog,” Charlie's handler, Larry Cornelius, said on Thursday. He really gives his heart every time I show him.”
Charlie's win was the first for a Skye Terrier, though it was the sixth time the Terrier group has won Best in Show.
Below, we'll take a look at the rest of the winners from the individual groups.
Sporting Group

These are the bird-hunting dogs. Some will retrieve game after it has been killed, while others will flush out birds to assist hunters.
The Golden Retriever is the most renowned and beloved breed in this class, though a Setter took the top spot last year and a Cocker Spaniel took home the crown this year.
Hound Group

Hounds are also hunters, but this varied group is more likely to chase down prey themselves. They are often distinguished in two groups: Those dogs that will hunt by scent, and those that hunt by sight.
Hounds won the Best in Show award the last two years, though this year Charlie the Skye Terrier had other ideas.
Working Group

The Working Group has a lot of variety, but most of these dogs are known for their utility, from being police and firefighter dogs to serving as guide dogs or helping guard livestock on farms.
A Samoyed took home the top honor in this group last year.
Terrier Group

The Terriers, as a group, are dogs with great personality, though they can also be rather stubborn. Terriers were traditionally used to hunt vermin and other small creatures, and the determination they would show in doing so reflects in their personalities even to this day.
This was the fourth different breed to win in the last four years and the third Terrier to take home best in show in five years as well, as a Wire Fox Terrier won Best in Show in 2011 and 2012, a Norfolk Terrier won in 2013 and a Smooth Fox Terrier won last year.
Toy Group

Dogs in the Toy group have been bred over the years to be companions for humans. They are most well-known for their small size.
Last year, an Affenpinscher took home first place in the group.
Non-Sporting Group

The Non-Sporting Group is essentially the "miscellaneous" group of the bunch, comprised of those dogs that don't fit neatly into the other categories.
For the second year in a row, a French Bulldog took home top honors in this group.
Herding Group

As the name suggests, these dogs are known for herding livestock on farms and ranches. And for the second year in a row, the Bearded Collie took home top honors.
Now, dog fans everywhere will eagerly await the most famous dog show of them all, the Westminster Dog Show in February. That show remains the pinnacle of dog shows and is a fan favorite for dog lovers and animal lovers alike.
