Manchester United Transfer News: Zlatan Ibrahimovic Comments on PSG Exit Rumours
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s legion of English fans will be disappointed to hear the Paris Saint-Germain forward thinks it’s too late for him to play in the Premier League, despite recent links with a move to Manchester United.
According to Fichajes (h/t the Daily Telegraph), the Swedish forward is the subject of interest from Major League Soccer franchises, as well as the Red Devils, with his contract with the French champions due to expire at the end of the current term. However, Ibrahimovic ruled out a move to England in the wake of his virtuoso display against Denmark in the European Championship play-offs.

“I think it is too late to come to England,” conceded the 34-year-old, per Riath Al-Samarrai of the MailOnline. “I am very happy in PSG, I have my last six months and let us see what happens afterwards. I am enjoying it, I enjoy every day on the field. While I am playing at the top level I just want to join it and do my thing. I do not know where I will finish my career let us wait and see.”

There’s little doubt Ibrahimovic could still cut it in the top flight of English football. As aforementioned, his brace against rivals Denmark sent Sweden to Euro 2016 in France next summer, securing a 2-2 draw on the night and a 4-3 aggregate win.
As we can see here, one of the goals and the subsequent celebration were very special indeed from the Swedish centre-forward:

— Messi Stats (@MESSlSTATS) November 17, 2015"It was a stunning display from a player who, for all of his attributes, has been criticised for not standing up on the big occasion. Ibrahimovic is a forward who seems to be getting better and better, season upon season, and if he can continue to make such decisive contributions on the international stage, it’ll only serve to enrich his legacy when he does hang up the boots.
The performance was indicative of the brilliant season he's enjoying. Despite this possibly being his final campaign in top-level European football, Ibrahimovic has been a force of nature at the point of the attack for both club and country, as we can see here, courtesy of WhoScored.com:
For a player who craves the spotlight, a move to MLS may not be a good idea. Indeed, Ibrahimovic has never relied too much on pace and trickery, so feasibly, he could still have many more years leading the line for a top European team, even if those attributes were to deteriorate.

The Swede continues to conduct himself with a swagger, too, as was evident with his comments following the Denmark game, per Bleacher Report UK:
Ibrahimovic has the character required to be a big hit at Old Trafford and all of the attributes to thrive in English football. For United, he’d be a player capable of turning tight games the way of the Red Devils and someone who would excite the crowd every time he strutted out onto the pitch.
Even so, with acquisitions such as Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial made in the summer, it seems as though United are building towards the future when it comes to attacking positions. Ibrahimovic’s impact would be enormous if he was to sign next summer, but it’d be on too much of a short-term basis.
