Cristiano Ronaldo Would Reportedly 'Love' to Beat Real Madrid, Barcelona at PSG
The MailOnline's Rob Draper believes Cristiano Ronaldo would "love" to move to Paris Saint-Germain to break the dominance of current club Real Madrid and hated rivals Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.
Ronaldo is being strongly linked with a move to the French capital amid ever-growing rumours there is a real animosity between Real President Florentino Perez and the 30-year-old, and the forward also dislikes new manager Rafa Benitez.
The Portugal international has become a club legend since moving to Madrid from Manchester United, but Draper is convinced he'd love to beat both his current club and hated rivals Barcelona with a new team:

"Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be entering final fling of his Real Madrid career... how football’s biggest ego would love to topple them with PSG.
[…] Ronaldo could take PSG beyond French domination into global territory; he is that good. And that, in turn, would be good for the Champions League, a shake-up of what is rapidly becoming a triopoly.Of course, it would depend which Ronaldo arrived in Paris next summer. If it's the surly, goal-hanging Ronaldo of the moment, he may not have enough energy to carry PSG through the toughest matches of all. But if he applies some of the work-rate of the 2013-14 season again, then it suddenly becomes possible to see PSG overcoming a Bayern, a Barcelona or even a Real Madrid. And how Ronaldo would enjoy that.
"
In his article, Draper details how the likes of Manchester City and PSG, who have joined Europe's elite clubs after big-money investments, have been unable to take that final step and beat the established top teams to the Champions League trophy.
Of the two, Les Parisiens have looked most impressive, but they seem to lack that one defining player that could finally deliver the club's ultimate goal. In their last Champions League match, they dominated the possession and the play at the Bernabeu, only to lose 1-0 because they couldn't find a way through Real's defence.

Ronaldo is the kind of player who could provide that magic touch, that one goal when his team needs it the most. With the likes of Marco Verratti and Blaise Matuidi running things in the midfield and a supremely talented group of defenders, PSG would immediately be among the Champions League favourites should he join.
There are real signs that might be the case. Transfer rumours always seem to surround Ronaldo, but they've never been as strong as they are right now, in the wake of his open display of affection for PSG manager Laurent Blanc and his controversial interview with Kicker, in which he cast doubt on his Real future, per Le Parisien (via Draper).
Ronaldo is usually one of the favourite subjects of the Madrid-based media, but even Marca took a shot at the veteran forward, per football blogger Jonas Giaever:
A move away from Los Blancos would be risky for Ronaldo, but if it pays off, it could do wonders for his legacy. He has already won silverware with two top clubs, dominating for both Real and Manchester United, and adding a third to his resume would make it look that much more impressive.
He's still in his prime, but Ronaldo will be 31 by the end of the season, and he may only have a few years left before the inevitable decline sets in. He's won everything there is to win in Madrid, but Los Blancos have won the La Liga title and the Champions League trophy just once since he joined, so he may be wondering whether he'll have better luck in Paris.
Perhaps more importantly, he could become a PSG legend by becoming the star to finally lift the club to the summit of European football, something the fans of the team so desperately crave. If he can dispatch of his old team and Lionel Messi's Barcelona along the way, you end up with the kind of dream scenario worthy of a Hollywood film.
