Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley was arrested Wednesday due to an outstanding warrant regarding an unpaid traffic ticket.

The Rockets provided a statement on the matter, per John Schuhmann of NBA.com:

According to Reid Laymance of the Houston Chronicle, Beverley was cited for “Operating a Motor Vehicle on Toll Road When Prohibited” but had failed to pay his fine. He was stopped Wednesday morning, arrested on the scene and taken to a police station, where he paid the fine.

Police subsequently released him.

The 27-year-old guard missed Wednesday's shootaround while dealing with the issue. Beverley, who is averaging 6.0 points and 3.8 assists this season, is also currently dealing with a concussion suffered last week. He returned to practice Tuesday.
