Liberia vs. Ivory Coast
Ivory Coast will be bidding to reach their fourth consecutive World Cup, but before they can contest the group stage of qualification, they must make it past minnows Liberia over two legs.

After finally winning their second title at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015, the Elephants' confidence will be sky high, and due to the vast gulf in quality between these two sides, Liberia's only real hope of coming out on top is complacency on their opponents' part.
The matches will be just the second and third under new Ivory Coast head coach Michel Dussuyer, who took over in July from Herve Renard.
His only match so far was a fairly uninspiring 0-0 draw with Sierra Leone, but there's little to suggest Ivory Coast will struggle against Liberia—currently ranked 88th in the world by FIFA.

Two key parts of their front three—Gervinho and Seydou Doumbia—are in exceptional form this season domestically, with 18 goals and seven assists racked up between them.
If they can maintain that quality against the Lone Stars, it should be a thoroughly one-sided affair.
Tanzania vs. Algeria
Algeria have been on a remarkable rise in recent years and will be expected to qualify for the World Cup.
One of just two African teams to reach the knockout stages in Brazil, Algeria took eventual champions Germany to extra time in the round of 16.
Like Ivory Coast, the Greens also have several star players who ply their trade around Europe.

Valencia's Sofiane Feghouli and Porto's Yacine Brahimi are among the 10 nominees for the 2015 African Footballer of the Year, while Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez is in simply stunning form for the Foxes.
As Squawka Football demonstrated, the 24-year-old winger has been one of the top performers in the Premier League this term:
Mahrez's pace, creativity and willingness to run at defenders will cause havoc against Tanzania and is likely to prove a key factor in the Greens recording a victory here.
Expect Algeria to rack up a significant scoreline before dominating their group on the way to their third consecutive World Cup appearance.
