Brendan Rodgers, Diego Simeone Reportedly Eyed Amid Jose Mourinho Exit Rumours
Chelsea are reportedly eyeing potential new managers after they lost yet again 1-0 against Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday, amid news Diego Simeone could leave Atletico Madrid at the end of the campaign.
The La Liga coach is being considered with disposed Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who has previously worked on the coaching staff at Stamford Bridge.
Tom Hopkinson of the Sunday People reported Simeone has put Chelsea on "red alert" as the Argentinian prepares to activate his break clause in his contract with Atleti.

Rodgers is being considered as an interim coach to take over from manager Jose Mourinho, per Hopkinson, as they hover above the Premier League relegation zone.
The latest betting sees Simeone as fourth favourite to take over the west London hot seat, and Rodgers in fifth, according to Oddschecker.com:
| Carlo Ancelotti | 7-2 |
| Fabio Capello | 4-1 |
| Pep Guardiola | 4-1 |
| Diego Simeone | 7-1 |
| Brendan Rodgers | 8-1 |

Carlo Ancelotti is one of the favourites to take second stint in charge of Chelsea, having previously led the team to the league title during his reign.
The Italian is currently free from commitments, and Chelsea could move for him at any point if they cut short Mourinho's tenure.
Chelsea sank to another loss on Saturday, losing to Stoke 1-0 as the Special One was banned from the stadium.
The defeat leaves the champions 16th in the Premier League, after four losses in their previous five games.
Sky Sports pundit Jamier Redknapp commented on Mourinho's downfall, and said the coach must take responsibility for recent results:
Mourinho has looked a broken man in recent weeks, and his body language suggests he hasn't got long to rectify the sins of his team.
Chelsea were much improved in general play against Stoke, but once again they couldn't find the net when they needed to most.
The Blues are a side who need to be in the Champions League each season, and if the top four looks too far away in the coming weeks, the manager will pay the ultimate price.
