Germany have called up a strong and experienced squad for the two upcoming international friendlies against France and the Netherlands, anchored by Bayern Munich star Manuel Neuer. Wolfsburg's Julian Draxler returns to the side, while the likes of Arsenal's Mesut Ozil will be rested.

The team's official Twitter account shared the list of players called up for the two friendlies:

Manager Joachim Low has elected to go with a mix of experience and young talent, giving chances to the likes of Leroy Sane and Kevin Volland to show what they can do on the biggest stage. Top stars like Neuer and Thomas Muller will also join, while Ozil and the injured Marco Reus will stay with their respective clubs.

Surprisingly, there's no room in the club for Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen, although Germany's incredible depth at the goalkeeper position means someone will always have to be left out.

Draxler could start his first match for Die Mannschaft in over a year, having last appeared for the team in a 1-1 European championship qualifier against Ireland in October of 2014. A series of injuries and the switch to Wolfsburg meant the youngster had to work his way back into the squad, and it seems he has done just that.

Per the team's official Twitter account, there are two new faces:

It's almost shocking Paris Saint-Germain's Kevin Trapp had to wait this long to get his first cap, but as mentioned earlier, the Germans are not short in the goalkeeper position. Schalke's Sane will also be rewarded for his spectacular form of late, and the rising Bundesliga star should become a regular member of the squad very soon.

Die Mannschaft will play France on Friday, November 13, before hosting the Netherlands four days later.
