The University of Miami officially fired head football coach Al Golden Sunday night, and the program now has to deal with the ramifications of some recruits defecting.

Sunday, 4-star wide receiver Ahmmon Richards of West Palm Beach, Florida, announced he has decommitted from the University of Miami to explore his options:

According to 247Sports.com, Richards committed to Miami in July 2014. However, several schools have maintained interest in the 6'2", 180-pound receiver since he made that decision.

247Sports' Keith Niebuhr reported Richards has official visits coming up with Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn. Richards' visit with Auburn is expected to take place the weekend the Tigers host Alabama in the Iron Bowl.

"I’m really excited," Richards said, per Niebuhr. "I can’t wait to see the atmosphere and how crazy it is. I just want to experience it."

It's no surprise the SEC's biggest schools have serious interest in Richards. As a junior, the 37th-ranked receiver in the class of 2016 caught 53 passes for 1,183 yards and 21 touchdowns. The year prior, Richards managed just 261 yards and four touchdowns on 18 receptions.

A big decision awaits Richards, but his options are enticing to say the least. Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee are all top-tier programs, and they can afford him the chance to raise his profile under the national spotlight.
