Review

Anthony Martial scored a brace in his first league start for the Red Devils, before Juan Mata provided United's other goal, with their strikes bookended by two from Graziano Pelle for the Saints.

The young Frenchman set social media alight with his cool finishing, with football writer Liam Canning and Match of the Day host Gary Lineker among those wowed by his performance:

United boss Louis van Gaal urged fans not to get too carried away despite his excellent start, as reported by BBC Sport's Tom Rostance:

"

Anthony Martial is already special because we paid a lot of money for him. A lot of people are thinking he is a great star but he is a boy of 19. In three matches he has shown a lot.

I am very happy with him but we and he have to keep our feet on the ground.

"

Martial and Co. will be up against Sunderland in Week 7, so the striker could well add to his impressive tally against their porous back line.

Liverpool will be disappointed with their draw with the Canaries, particularly after pulling ahead through substitute Danny Ings' first goal for the Reds.

Russell Martin showed exquisite technique in equalising for Norwich, looping a shot over Simon Mignolet after the Belgian's poor punch failed to clear the area.

The Reds are continuing to struggle as their winless streak extends to four matches. Football 365's Daniel Storey shares this damning indictment of Liverpool's attacking capabilities post-Luis Suarez:

Spurs have similarly failed to spark up front this season, but a second-half goal from Son Heung-Min was enough for them to eke out a win over Palace.

The Eagles had chances of their own as Yohan Cabaye struck the post and Bakary Sako had his effort saved, but it was ultimately a deserved win for the Lilywhites.

Man City endured their first defeat of the season on Saturday, and at the Etihad no less.

Victor Moses and Diafra Sakho put the Hammers in front, and though Kevin De Bruyne pulled one back for his side on the stroke of half-time, the Citizens could not find an equaliser. Squawka Football shared the key stats from the smash-and-grab win:

Chelsea hinted they're not out of the title race just yet as they beat Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Kurt Zouma and Eden Hazard got the decisive touches, but the game was more notable as Gabriel was sent off after reacting to Diego Costa's repeated harassment of the Arsenal defence, while Santi Cazorla picked up two yellows and also walked.

As always, Costa was at his divisive best, as demonstrated by the differing takes of former Arsenal strikers Alan Smith and John Hartson on the Spaniard:

Sunderland's worries continued as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth.

Callum Wilson bagged his fourth of the season, and Matt Ritchie secured the victory with a goal-of-the-season contender, volleying into the top corner from outside the area.

Likewise, Newcastle's winless start to the season continued as they tumbled to 19th thanks to a brace from Odion Ighalo.

Daryl Janmaat pulled one back for the Magpies in the second half, but Steve McClaren's side were disappointing once again.

Swansea City played out a 0-0 draw at home to Everton, while Leicester City once again came from two goals down to salvage a result, this time a point against Stoke City.

Goals from Bojan Krkic and Jon Walters put the Potters in a commanding position, but the Foxes' never-say-die attitude helped them haul themselves back into the match through a Riyad Mahrez penalty and a strike from Jamie Vardy.

Leicester have scored 13 goals in the league so far but have also conceded nine, so eventually their "we'll score more than you" approach will see them beaten for the first time.

They welcome Arsenal to the King Power Stadium in Week 7, so it could well be then.
