Mr. Olympia 2015 Results: Final Info for Phil Heath and Top Stars

Nate LoopSep 19, 2015

Ladies and gentlemen, Phil Heath is your 2015 Mr. Olympia.

Nicknamed "The Gift," Heath keeps on giving to the bodybuilding community, winning his fifth consecutive Mr. Olympia on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

The victory puts him three titles away from the record of eight, shared by Lee Haney and Ronnie Coleman. He's also just one win away from tying Arnold Schwarzenegger, far and away the most well-known of all Mr. Olympia winners.

Mr. Olympia LLC shared a picture of the absurdly muscled Heath, looking like he's come straight off a Terminator assembly line, after his big win:

Heath's path to victory was made all the more easier with the absence of Kai Greene, who finished runner-up to The Gift in the last three competitions.

NPC News online provided a list of the top 10 finishers:

Dexter "The Blade" Jackson, participating in his 16th Mr. Olympia, finished in second place. Jackson made his mark when he upset Jay Cutler and others to win in 2008, but he hasn't been able to climb the bodybuilding mountaintop since. Cutler, a four-time winner, didn't participate in this year's competition.

Here's a picture of Jackson—with a physique that would look more in place bronzed and worshipped in some ancient Spartan town square than on an actual human being strutting across a Las Vegas stage—from Muscle & Fitness

At Jackson's age, second place is something to take immense pride in. His physique and performance are impressive coming from a 45-year-old. For comparison's sake, Heath is just 35.

In a sport characterized by long periods of dominance by the top bodybuilders—only 13 men have won the Sandow Trophy in its 65-year history—this is undoubtedly Heath's era.

In a day-in-the-life profile from 5280 Magazine's Lindsey R. McKissick, Heath noted his workouts need not last longer than 90 minutes. "If you’re killing yourself, you don’t need more than that," he said. The profile documented his extreme dedication to bodybuilding, including the 5,281 calories consumed daily.

It's a passion surely rivaled by his flexed-out competitors but a physique and gift for posing not bested in quite some time under the Mr. Olympia spotlight.
