Real Madrid Transfer News: Alvaro Morata Rumours Sparked by Florentino Perez
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has hinted Los Blancos could bring Alvaro Morata back to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the current campaign.
The forward has been a big hit since signing for Juventus last summer, helping the Bianconeri to league and cup success last season, as well as a spot in the Champions League final. But Perez has told Marca (h/t Football Italia) there is an option for the La Liga side to re-signĀ MorataĀ next summer.
āHeās getting better and we could bring him back to Madrid,ā Perez revealed. āAt the end of the season we can pay Juventus ā¬10 million more than what we received from the Bianconeri and take him back to Real Madrid.ā

The talent was always apparent with Morata when he was at Real Madrid, but a lack of game time meant he was going to find it difficult to fulfill his potential if he'd stuck around. At Juventus, heās played regularly and formed a formidable attacking partnership with the now-departed Carlos Tevez during his debut term.
But there are signs the 22-year-old is now relishing becoming this sideās attacking talisman, as was the case with this stunning winning goal against Manchester City in midweek, per Serie A News:
Born in Madrid and schooled as a footballer in Los Blancosā La Fabrica academy, you suspect Morata has always dreamed of leading the line for Real. For a Madridista, there are few greater honours than playing at the point of the attack for this team, and although heās enjoying life in Turin,Ā Morata will hold ambitions to go back again one day.

As noted here by football journalist Sheridan Bird, if Morata was to return to Madrid, he would do so as someone whoās become a thoroughbred, big-game player:
As reported by Football Italia, La Gazzetta dello Sport claim Juventus are desperate for Morata to stay in Serie A and will offer him a new contract in January thatād make any move back to Madrid more problematic. The piece claims that the player will ultimately have the final decision on whether he wants to re-join or not.

Ultimately the player must do whatās best for his career, and at the moment, with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo the starting forwards for Real, he'd be better served sticking around at Juve. Indeed, Bleacher Reportās Adam Digby doesnāt think we should read too much into the quotes from Perez anyway:
Although Morata will always be drawn to Madrid, as was evident by the manner in which his goal against City was celebrated, his team-mates love him, the supporters adore him and the player himself reciprocates those feelings.
The forward is at one of European footballās grandest clubs, scoring against the best teams on the continent and challenging for major honours. Regardless of background and allegiance, it doesnāt get much better than that, and itās somethingĀ Morata will surely take into account when the time does come to make a decision on his long-term future.
