Ladarius Green Injury: Updates on Chargers TE's Concussion and Return
San Diego Chargers tight end Ladarius Green is active for the team's season opener despite suffering a concussion on Sept. 9.
Ricky Henne of Chargers.com shared the word of Green's status for the contest against the Detroit Lions.
Green had returned to practice on Sept. 11, per Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune, who reported the tight end's return to practice after missing two straight sessions.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After the session, head coach Mike McCoy said he believed Green would be out there for Week 1, saying, “If he’s healthy and he’s ready to roll, he’ll be out there,” per Marty Caswell of the Mighty 1090 AM.
“He looked good,” McCoy added, per Caswell. “He looked like Ladarius. We’re going to play the the [sic] best 46 to help us win.”
Green will start at tight end for the Chargers after veteran Antonio Gates was suspended four games for violating the NFL's performing-enhancing-substance policy.
The suspension meant the Chargers were going to be playing with just three tight ends on the roster for the first four games of the season, as David Johnson and Kyle Miller will fill in behind Green.
But an improved Lions secondary that includes Pro Bowler Glover Quin means that quarterback Philip Rivers is going to need as many targets as possible, and Green's return is welcome news for the Chargers.
