Seth Rollins' Performances Will Own WWE Night of Champions 2015
If anyone doubted WWE's commitment to Seth Rollins, they need look no further than Night of Champions on September 20. That's the night when Rollins will first defend the United States Championship against John Cena and later will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Sting.
Pulling double duty at a major event is big but when it involves two legends, it's huge. Rollins' performances will definitely own the show at Night of Champions.
Rollins is the man right now in WWE. He has the top belt, he has a secondary belt and he sits at the right hand of Triple H in The Authority. He's on TV every week, he's working the main events of pay-per-views and at this point, no one other than Cena is more important to WWE than Rollins.

The company has invested a lot in its champ and for very good reason.
Rollins is getting it done. Though some may have doubted the decision to give him the title, those doubters are surely quiet now as Rollins has proven he is more than capable of wearing the championship with distinction.
Lesnar's supporters had a legitimate view, of course, as he brought credibility to the championship because of who he is and what he's accomplished in the past. He also brought tremendous dominance to the belt, dominance that perhaps had never been seen in WWE before. He was practically unbeatable, and no one had more momentum than he did.
But fans longed to see the champ on a regular basis. Lesnar's limited schedule prevented this so when Rollins won, he essentially brought the belt home to WWE.
Since that time, Rollins has brought an air of respect to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship thanks to his work in the ring. He defends it on a regular basis, and he does so with all the swagger of Ric Flair combined with the arrogance of Chris Jericho. The belt may have been bigger than Rollins in the beginning, but he's proven he's just as big and is giving the title some real shine right now.
That shine will only grow brighter at Night of Champions.
Rollins' match against Cena at SummerSlam was further proof of the champ's ability to step up on the main event stage. Rollins had a great showing and more than held his own against Cena, giving fans reason to expect that the next confrontation would surely be big.
That confrontation will be yet another chapter in the Rollins story, and it could very well steal the show at Night of Champions.
The match with Sting, however, is unknown territory for fans. No one really knows how the match will look or how it will be received by the crowd. The only certainty is Rollins, the common denominator in both bouts.
Rollins has two opportunities to show off, to flex his pro wrestling acumen with the whole world watching. Moments like this do not come often and when they do, the guys involved must take advantage of it. Cena will turn in his usual top-notch performance, and Sting will surely bring all the energy and drive of a man half his age.
Both men know what it means to deliver under the bright lights; they've been doing it for years. They will do their part to make Rollins look good, but Rollins is the one that has the most to gain at Night of Champions.
If he manages to win both matches, then life for WWE fans will become unbearable. Rollins' ego is out of control now but add wins over Cena and Sting on the same night, and that ego will grow to epic proportions.
He will gloat, he will boast and he will scream to the world of his superiority over the WWE locker room. Rollins' name will be etched into the history books, and he will have a milestone moment the he, as well as the company, can reference for years to come.
However if he loses, then he will still be a better performer for having faced both legends on the same night. Once again, it will be obvious he can hang with the best because he is the best and while that may not be enough for his character, it's likely enough for the man.
This will not be just another day at the office for Rollins. This is much more, and at the end of the night whether he wins or loses, fans will know that Rollins is undeniably the best hand in the company.
