1 Player Real Madrid Will Regret Not Signing in 2015 Summer Transfer Window
There is more than one player Real Madrid may regret not signing this summer, with David De Gea the main name on people's lips. However, Paul Pogba may prove to be a far bigger miss.
After all, Madrid are likely to go on and secure Manchester United goalkeeper De Gea's signature at a later date, with the Spaniard able to sign a pre-contract deal with another side from January onwards.
Keylor Navas, who they currently have between the sticks, has started the season well and Los Blancos fans are confident he can do the job for them, even if the club saw fit to try to replace him.

However, Juventus star Paul Pogba is a different case. For one, by the time Madrid may consider buying him again, another club may have tied up a deal for the star.

There are certainly plenty of teams hopeful of signing the French star, including Premier League champions Chelsea.
According to Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport (h/t the Independent), Pogba turned down the chance to join Jose Mourinho's side, despite Juventus accepting a £62 million bid.
Real Madrid's rivals Barcelona are also interested in signing the Old Lady's star man.
Per Sport, Ariedo Braida, heading Barcelona's technical committee, said in July: "Pogba is a great player, and due to this every big European club including Barcelona is interested in him."
Although the midfield of Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic and Andres Iniesta was already enough to win Barcelona the treble, adding Pogba to the mix would improve it further.
The danger for Real Madrid is that if they don't get Pogba, Barcelona might.
It wouldn't be the first time a club has moved for a player they like for the dual purpose of denying a rival the same man.
That feeling surrounded Madrid's signing of Danilo earlier this year, as Barcelona struggled to find a replacement for Dani Alves, who seemed set to leave the club.

According to Real Madrid themselves, they aren't interested in Pogba, with the club taking the slightly odd step of announcing their lack of interest in the midfielder early in the summer.
But as Sport claimed, Madrid later decided they wanted to try to lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu.
He would be a superb addition to the midfield, with the technically excellent Luka Modric and Toni Kroos lacking a bit of physical clout.

And although Pogba isn't an out-and-out defensive midfielder, his skill set would add detail to Madrid's midfield that the current duo at its base don't have.
Madrid did sign a midfielder, in Mateo Kovacic, but he offers a different kind of product to Pogba.
The Croatian is more suited to Madrid's system playing as a No. 10, which makes his signing a tad odd because Madrid have two excellent players for that position, in Isco and James Rodriguez, and are also currently using Gareth Bale there.
Kovacic will get more appearances as one of the two deeper-lying midfielders, but that is not his favoured position.

Another reason Real Madrid may regret not signing Pogba is because with another season developing his potential at Juventus and then the European Championships in France, his price may rise by next summer.
He will be the great hope of the French side looking to succeed on home soil and if he guides them to victory, Juventus will charge even more to part with him.
Signing Pogba wouldn't have fixed all of the problems that Madrid have, but he is another match-winner and someone who can stand up on the biggest occasions.
Los Blancos saw that firsthand last season as he came back from injury to help his team beat Madrid in the Champions League semi-final at the Bernabeu.
Pogba is a player who would improve Madrid's midfield, and by signing him they would also prevent any of their rivals from obtaining him too.
