Barcelona Transfer News: Mega Deals Targeted in Latest Blaugrana Rumours
Barcelona are preparing a six-year mega deal to keep Neymar at the Camp Nou, reported to be worth £500,000-per-week to the Brazilian superstar.
The rumour follows Manchester United's alleged interest in the forward as they look for a superstar to tread the boards at Old Trafford.
The Sun (h/t the Telegraph) say talks are scheduled to begin around the Christmas period, as the Blaugrana hope to tie Neymar to the potential £150 million contract.

The deal would keep the genius in Catalonia until close to his 30th birthday and would set a precedent for the world's top footballers in terms of wages.

Barca clearly see United as a threat; the television money increase in England is changing the landscape across the transfer window in terms of value.
After United grabbed Anthony Martial at an exceptional cost on deadline day, Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev said, per the Sun (h/t Jack Bezants of the Mail Online):
"It's true that the price for Martial is £58 million but take into account this sum includes bonuses which are very realistic.
It's absolutely unique. It's the price of Luis Suarez or Neymar—the best players in the world.
On Sunday the player got such an offer that he couldn't have declined. He asked us to find a solution and on Monday morning Manchester United made an offer to Monaco which the club couldn't refuse. Right now English football is on a different financial level and if Manchester United decides to buy somebody, it's very hard to stop them.
"

United have a long-term interest in Neymar and previously tried to engage with the talent before his transfer to Spain, bidding for him on deadline day three years ago, as reported by the Sun's Neil Custis.
But thankfully for Barca coach Luis Enrique, the player seems content to sign his future away to his current club, publicly declaring to reporters and TV3, per Martin Domin of the Mail Online: "I want to stay at Barcelona, no matter how many million pound offers come from England. The people from Barca can be calm. When I hear things like this, I don't think anything. I just heard it and I am calm. I am very happy at Barca and with my colleagues."

After a difficult home World Cup, the Brazil icon returned to Spain and helped lead Barca to a historic treble success after the club had been in turmoil earlier in the season. Neymar smashed 32 goals in La Liga and the Champions League, per WhoScored.com, stepping out of the shadow of Lionel Messi.
However, South American football expert Tim Vickery recently told TalkSport's Hawksbee and Jacobs that Barcelona could lose Neymar to United next year, as the Red Devils attempt to turn the player's head: "England is obviously a potential in a year or two years’ time. That’s the game I think United are playing—establishing an interest, making it clear that they really want this player and are prepared to play big money.”

In other news, Barcelona are set to move for Dynamo Kiev skipper Andriy Yarmolenko after the player rejected a late move to Everton.
Sport (h/t TalkSport) says the 25-year-old will be a target for Enrique in January when the club are allowed to purchase and play new signings after a recent ban.
Barca were said to be ready to bring the player to the Camp Nou in recent weeks, but no deal materialised, per TalkSport:
Neymar is the cornerstone of Barcelona's future, and it is essential they pin down the player to a golden-handcuffs deal sooner rather than later.
English clubs will be swimming in money in the next couple of years, and the world's top talent are sure to be looking for moves to the Premier League ahead of Spain, Germany and France.
Barcelona need a settled campaign this year; 12 months ago, Enrique didn't seem to be coping well with the political nature of the Camp Nou beast.
The loss of Neymar is something that cannot be contemplated. A Christmas contract signing would please both the manager and the fans—and ward off the likes of United.
