Brock Lesnar: Predicting When The Beast Will Next Appear on WWE Programming

Ryan DilbertAug 31, 2015

The wait to see Brock Lesnar tear apart some unlucky WWE wrestler won't be long. The Beast Incarnate will charge back onto WWE programming before September ends.

Ever since Lesnar left the Octagon for the squared circle in 2012, fans have had to play a guessing game between each of his appearances. He arrives, conquers and then leaves for long stretches of time. He's a monster who seeks hibernation after each feeding.

His latest absence won't be a lengthy one, though, thanks to an upcoming live special on the WWE Network.

The last time fans saw Lesnar was on last Monday's Raw. Enraged by his controversial loss to Undertaker at SummerSlam, the powerhouse took out his frustrations on Bo Dallas. The would-be motivational speaker took several trips to Suplex City before Lesnar exited:

With all the mentions of getting another crack at Undertaker, that segment made it clear that a rubber match between the two is eventually on its way. One would assume that WWE will save that for either WrestleMania 32 or Survivor Series (which is more of a long shot).

Lesnar's too valuable to keep him inactive until then. WWE clearly agrees.

As Pro Wrestling Torch noted on Twitter, The Beast Incarnate is set to appear at the Oct. 3 live event at Madison Square Garden:

Like The Beast in the East special earlier this year, this will be aired on the WWE Network.

But Lesnar will be back before that. Look for him to bear his fangs once more on Sept. 21 on the Raw after Night of Champions.

Going with that date to welcome Lesnar back does a number of things for WWE. For one, it ups the significance of that edition of Raw. The company has made a habit of turning the nights after pay-per-views into special events via special appearances and surprises.

Fans saw that in action most recently on the Raw after SummerSlam when Sting attacked Seth Rollins, Jon Stewart showed up and The Dudley Boyz made their return to WWE.

Bringing Lesnar back gives Raw a boost but also helps promote the Oct. 3 Madison Square Garden show. Maybe he'll stare down his opponent or stand next to Paul Heyman as the advocate describes the destruction his client will create in New York.

Either way, there will be added hype for the WWE Network special. In addition, the company can start to set up what's next for Lesnar.

Hell in the Cell will be the next PPV to sell to fans. Lesnar will likely have a match there to further show off his power before he eventually collides with Undertaker. He is coming off a loss at SummerSlam (albeit a controversial one) and will need some strong booking to better hype Undertaker vs. Lesnar III.

Sept. 21 is likely to be when WWE fans find out just who this powerful predator will seek out as prey. The cycle from buildup to climax to buildup will continue then.

WWE isn't likely to use Sting at two PPVs in a row. He's the special attraction at Night of Champions, while that's Lesnar's role at Hell in a Cell. So when Sting steps back into the shadows, expect Lesnar to take his place.
