WWE SummerSlam 2015 Results: Superstars Who Gained the Most in Defeat
Although the show featured plenty of disappointing moments and setbacks for some of the losers at SummerSlam this year, there were some who could take positives from their defeats.
Whether it's a controversial loss that keeps them looking strong heading toward Night of Champions or a loss from a feud that really doesn't mean too much, there is an abundance of reasons why stars came out of SummerSlam with plenty gained despite their defeats.
And while some will be struggling to get back to top form after the biggest show of the summer, there were some who can stay optimistic, like these three.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The opening match of the night proved to be quite an unspectacular one, in truth.
But that's exactly why Randy Orton's defeat against Sheamus in the opening bout of the night wasn't too harmful for The Viper moving forward.
Orton is as enjoyable a worker inside the ring as they come. When he's in full flow, it's a joy to watch, and although the result didn't quite go his way, that shouldn't act as too much of a concern.
There wasn't too much for Orton going on inside the ring, and the magnitude of the result isn't that much of a concern.
He helped to put Sheamus over really nicely, and although it was far from Orton's finest performance in his WWE career, it does at least keep things going for a potential rematch at Night of Champions.
Cesaro
The Swiss Superman is very much riding on the crest of a wave right now, and despite losing out to Kevin Owens at SummerSlam, his stock is still as high as before.
A loss to a guy like Owens, who the fans clearly respect and enjoy watching, is never going to be a bad thing. Similarly, if Cesaro had won, Owens would have continued to look strong.
But this felt like the right move here, as Owens' need for a win was perhaps marginally greater than Cesaro's.
But Cesaro and Owens worked perhaps the most underrated match of the night, as they put on a fine show to serve as the prelude to Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker.
Cesaro's brutal uppercuts are fast becoming his trademark, while his unprecedented agility mixed with brute strength generally see him put on star-studded matches with whomever he fights.
This loss did nothing for Cesaro's stock. The quality of the match did though, and you would expect that after another strong showing, his stock will continue to rise and rise, thankfully for his army of fans.
Brock Lesnar
One of the most perplexing decisions for WWE fans going into SummerSlam concerned the main event and who a loss would have harmed more.
A clean defeat for The Undertaker would have been a disaster, given his shock loss to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX, and similarly, Lesnar being beaten cleanly for the first time in over two years would have done major damage to his stock and billing as the unstoppable beast.
But in losing controversially at the hands of a mistake by the official and then a low blow, Lesnar still continues to look as dominating as ever before.
And as well as that, Lesnar gained plenty from his loss, as it now sets up the third and telling bout in the future, which you would expect The Beast Incarnate to win when it truly matters.
The way the match was booked to finish also ensured he looked strong. You never expected Lesnar to tap by any stretch of the imagination, but by flipping the bird in Undertaker's face and then passing out, it showed Lesnar to be strong, arrogant and generally still on top of his game.
You would assume that there's very little made of this defeat moving forward, at least in terms of how it would have damaged Lesnar's stock.
