Must-Follow Sneakerheads on Social Media
Sneakerheads are all about the Internet and its powerful ways of communication.
Al Gore's baby has become a goldmine of information. And truth be told, if you're following the right social media accounts, you can easily get your mind wrapped around what's going on.
Release dates, leaked photos, raffles and so much more are all no more than a few clicks away. But a lot of people don't realize that there is a ton of valuable content out there ripe for the picking.
Don't stress, because we've got you covered.
It's time to inject a little bit of that sneaker goodness into everyone's lives. We've scanned the wild world of kicks and thrown together a list of must-follow social media accounts.
Nice Kicks
NiceKicks.com's Twitter feed is a great one to follow if you're in the market for release dates, swaths of information and rumors galore.
With almost 600,000 followers, Nice Kicks does an excellent job of sifting through all of the pointless sneaker information so you don't have to. Instead, what you get is a social media machine dedicated to passing along the most relevant content.
On top of all of that, the handlers behind the account pose interesting questions that usually generate a strong response from fellow Twitter users.
Props go out to the crew over at Nice Kicks. They've done a great job of building an outstanding brand and social media feed for consumers to get behind.
Upscale Vandal
Must-follow sneaker accounts aren't always brand-related endeavors. Influencers and tastemakers are also a big part of this wave we all love.
Upscale Vandal has used his powers for good, becoming one of the premier follows on social media. His fashion sense and sneaker game is crazy. Vandal shows off independent kicks from special brands like Hender Scheme to more traditional cuts such as Jordan Brand.
Without throwing any shade toward his Twitter and Instagram efforts—both are very strong and worth following—Vandal's Snapchat game is on a different plateau. That's where sneaker enthusiasts can get a more personalized look at what makes the man behind one of the top accounts tick.
Jordans Daily
Jordans Daily doesn't have nearly as many Twitter followers as Nice Kicks—only 3,493 as of this writing—but that doesn't mean that the account isn't worth a follow.
For all things Jordan Brand, it's tough to top this social media feed, which provides detailed pictures, lookbooks and upcoming release date info, all in the name of Michael Jordan.
Disciples of the Air Jordan moniker can sniff out fraudulent accounts. Jordans Daily isn't one of those. In a Twitter universe that can be maimed by faux news, Jordans Daily is here to provide us with exceptional Jumpman content on a regular basis.
Sneaker Bar Detroit
Sneaker Bar Detroit's social media has not only given us classic release info, but it has also dished out a ton of insight to go along with it.
What's extremely cool about the whole Sneaker Bar Detroit movement is that part of the mission has been launching The Sneaker Box podcast. This podcast is an important one for all sneakerheads. It puts together a crew of informed shoe aficionados in a setting where they are allowed to speak freely.
Thanks to the site's Instagram and Twitter accounts, Sneaker Bar Detroit has stirred up quite a following. The social media you see out there is well-presented, which makes it a pleasure to subscribe.

Flight Club
Flight Club doesn't fit in with the rest of this list. It isn't about that information life.
However, what makes the sneaker boutique such an endearing follow is the fact that despite pumping product, it also provides us with beautiful imagery. An extensive inventory of sneakers allows the people who run Flight Club's social media accounts to keep the digital rotation minty-fresh.
The people love seeing this stuff. On Instagram alone, Flight Club has 1.1 million followers to broadcast to.
Forget the fact that it's promoting the sale of kicks for a second. Few social feeds out there shed as much light on exclusive sneakers like Flight Club does. And for that, you can't help but get caught up in what it's doing.
John Geiger
Listen, we all love watching the customization of kicks. Thankfully, social media has allowed us to see impressive work from tons of hardcore sneaker enthusiasts.
John Geiger could be the best of the bunch. His creative vision has birthed some of the most innovative concepts around. The "Misplaced Checks" series has been a revelation that has set the Internet ablaze.
If you follow Geiger's social media feeds—Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter—you'll not only be treated to an insider's view of his customization process, but you'll also bare witness to unique concepts and ideas from one of the game's most inventive minds.
The Shoe Surgeon
Dominic Chambrone may be his government name, but in the sneaker community he's known as The Shoe Surgeon.
As the man behind some of the leading customizations in the game today, Chambrone showcases all of his work on social media. He's used it as an avenue to create a ferocious following.
What's different about The Shoe Surgeon's social presence is that he isn't strictly set on displaying his work. He also gives viewers an opportunity to check out how he brings these concepts to life.
Those who are bored looking up the same products by the same brands need to follow accounts like The Shoe Surgeon. Delivering change is what the man does best.
Ronnie Fieg
These days, the grandmaster of collaboration is Kith owner and sneaker lord Ronnie Fieg.
Fieg has done remarkably well teaming up with well-known brands. Together, those partnerships have given sneakerheads an alternative to buying the same stuff over and over again.
Based on what he's achieved in the sneaker space, Fieg's social media has become the stuff of legend—especially his Instagram feed. He gives people detailed looks into his work, and we are appreciative for the insight.
The kicks world loves exclusivity, and Fieg is a guy who delivers that to us on a silver platter. He provides previews of upcoming projects that torture the souls of consumers.
Don't forget to hit me up in the comment section below or on Twitter to share your favorite sneaker accounts. Once you send in your requests, we will run Part 2 of this series.
