Lewis Grabban, Norwich Striker, Suspended by Team After Leaving Hotel
Norwich City striker Lewis Grabban reportedly left the team's hotel without permission ahead of their Capital One Cup tie with Rotherham United in a bid to force through a move to his former club, Bournemouth, and now it's cost him.
Sky Sports reported Norwich suspended Grabban for the stunt on Aug. 25.
According to Neil Ashton of the Daily Mail, the striker "went AWOL from Norwich’s team hotel after Canaries manager Alex Neil told him he was a substitute" for the clash, following a failed attempt to contact Neil regarding Bournemouth's interest.

The 27-year-old made his way to the train station, and "is still heading south because he no longer wants to play for the club."
Ashton notes the Cherries "submitted a third formal offer to Norwich chief executive David McNally for £5.2 million on Tuesday morning" for Grabban.
On Wednesday, Neil claimed that he would take the appropriate action in the wake of the incident, per Sky Sports:
"I don't have any issues with any player. He might have an issue but I'll quickly fix it. There won't be any shedding of light. Any sort of thing that happens behind closed doors stays there and that has always been the case and that will remain the case.
As far as I am concerned Lewis Grabban is a Norwich player, bottom line, that is it. Every player has got a price, but they have to meet a valuation we think the player is at, not what they think the player is valued at.
We have rejected three bids from Bournemouth and the bids we have received were not anywhere near the valuation of our player. Until we get to a stage where the bids are acceptable then Lewis Grabban remains a Norwich player.
"

Grabban scored 35 goals for Bournemouth in 93 games with the club and has netted 12 times in 36 appearances for Norwich.
Metro's Gary Gowers was quick to note the striker's substandard finishing, while SB Nation's David Wyatt believes Norwich can afford to part with him:
Indeed, the Canaries also boast Gary Hooper, Cameron Jerome, Kyle Lafferty and Ricky van Wolfswinkel up front, so Wyatt's assertion that they can do without him seems fair.
Further, as Wyatt hints, Norwich could use the transfer fee to bring in another striker if they so desired.
The striker's actions will ensure he will not be welcomed back to the Canaries with open arms, so Grabban could well get his wish to return to Bournemouth.
Though the Cherries are unlikely to be pleased with his behaviour themselves, the club know the player from his time on the South Coast and believe he can help them secure Premier League survival, so their interest in him will likely continue.
