Little League World Series 2015: Picks for Remainder of Tuesday's LLWS Bracket
The Little League World Series field has already been cut in half, and two more teams will be sent home from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Tuesday as the do-or-die elimination games continue.
In addition to an intriguing consolation matchup, teams in both the international and United States brackets will be fighting to extend their stay and continue their march toward a LLWS title. There is no margin for error as all four teams have already lost once, which means there will be no shortage of drama when they take the field at Howard J. Lamade Stadium.
As the contenders continue to separate themselves from the pretenders in Williamsport, here is a closer look at Tuesday's three matchups, along with predictions for how each of them will ultimately play out.

Breaking Down Tuesday's Games
Missouri (Midwest) vs. Canada

Two days after being eliminated from Little League World Series contention, both Missouri and Canada will receive proper sendoffs Tuesday when they lock horns in a consolation game.
Canada was a hard-luck loser in its opening game against Mexico as pitcher Matthew Wilkinson remarkably struck out 16 batters in five innings. It was subsequently eliminated by Chinese Taipei in blowout fashion.
Missouri, on the other hand, dropped a 6-3 decision to Rhode Island in its win-or-go-home game, which has relegated it to a game in which nothing but pride is on the line.
Neither squad has anything to lose Tuesday, so the contest should be an exciting one with plenty of chances being taken on both sides.
A lack of offense is what doomed both teams in this tournament, which means there may not be many runs scored, but look for Webb City, Missouri, to squeak by Canada thanks to the power hitting of Devrin Weathers and Cale McCallister, both of whom homered last game.
Chinese Taipei (Asia-Pacific) vs. Mexico
Chinese Taipei entered the Little League World Series as a favorite, but after losing 7-5 to Japan in its first game, it has been playing with its back against the wall. In order to keep its dream alive Tuesday, it will have to get past a difficult Mexico team that played Japan close in its own right.
After beating Canada 1-0, the Mexicans were narrowly defeated 3-1 by Japan before thrashing Australia 14-3. Chinese Taipei has been fairly dominant since its opening loss as it outscored Canada and Uganda by a combined 22-4 margin.
The Asia-Pacific representative was in control for essentially the entire time against Uganda as it scored three in the first inning and pitcher Wei Hung Chou allowed just one hit in a complete-game shutout.
Perhaps even more impressive than Chinese Taipei's win, though, was the sportsmanship it displayed afterward by embracing the Ugandans and swapping hats.
It was a heartwarming moment in the eyes of many, including Aaron James of 900 AM The Ticket:
Chinese Taipei plays the game the right way, and it also happens to have a ton of talent, which is why it enters Tuesday's contest as the favorite.
Mexico has held its own and has a fighting chance provided the likes of Jorge Armenta, Alberto Bustos, Damian Garcia and Co. continue to bust out the power stroke, but that will be easier said than done against a Chinese Taipei team that is more than capable of shutting down its opponents.
California (West) vs. Kentucky (Great Lakes)

Japan is likely the overall favorite to win the Little League World Series, but the favorite on the American side entering the competition was likely Bonita, California, as it pounded its way through West qualifying and managed to defeat a strong Hawaiian team twice to make it to Williamsport.
California maintained that status by destroying Kentucky 14-2 in its opener, but after getting shocked by Pearland, Texas, it had to defeat Rhode Island in order to get to this point.
In order to stay alive in this tournament, California must beat Bowling Green, Kentucky, once again, and it will undoubtedly be favored to do so after its previous performance against the Great Lakes representative.
Kentucky has a big mountain to climb in terms of simply believing it can win after what happened earlier in the tournament against California. According to 10News in San Diego, California head coach Ward Lannom knows that his team usually has a big advantage before the games even start:
"I've been told by numerous people, 'You know what, you guys are intimidating,'" Lannom said. "In looking at it, I think we've won half the games before we've ever taken the field just by the way we approach the game."
California enjoyed a hit parade in its first meeting with Kentucky as Antonio Andrade, Walker Lannom, Nick Maldonado, Levi Mendez, Nate Nankil and Dante Schmid all homered in that game.
There isn't an easy out in Bonita's lineup, which is something that can't be said for most teams. Kentucky's has shown a great deal of resiliency by hanging in there and staying alive after what could have been a demoralizing first loss, but California's incredible depth of talent will be the difference Tuesday.
