Wyndham Championship 2015: Leaderboard Scores and Highlights from Friday
Tiger Woods made the Wyndham Championship at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, a bit more intriguing by deciding to play in the tournament. Now, he's making the tournament a whole lot more intriguing because of how's he's playing.
He was the story on Friday once again after his impressive 64 on Thursday. Below, we'll break down the leaderboard, highlights and recap from the day of action.

Friday Recap
Woods came into the Wyndham Championship needing to finish in second place or better to qualify for The Barclays. After two rounds in Greensboro, he's certainly in position to do just that.
Woods shot an impressive 65 on Friday, putting him in a tie at 11-under with Tom Hoge atop the leaderboard. It was a pretty efficient day for Woods, as the Golf Channel's Tiger Tracker on Twitter noted:
Still, Woods did finish with two bogeys on the day, leaving himself room for improvement. He admitted to Jason Sobel of ESPN that it wasn't the easiest round of golf:
The fact that Woods is even in contention to qualify for The Barclays is pretty amazing considering the pretty dreadful season he's had. Ironically, this appeared to be the year that people were ready to leave Woods behind as the game's most intriguing player, instead turning to the young guns like Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day.
But maybe, just maybe, Woods has some more magic left. He's certainly been a terror when he starts a tournament like he has in Greensboro, per Justin Ray of the Golf Channel:
He also has a very impressive track record when leading after two rounds, per ESPN Stats & Information:
While Woods is sure to be the talk of the tournament heading into the weekend, however, he wasn't the only player who impressed. Co-leader Hoge couldn't replicate his impressive 62 from Thursday, but he shot well enough to remain tied with Woods at 11-under.
And nobody played better on Friday than Brandt Snedeker, who tied a course record with an impressive 61 on the afternoon, getting himself back in the running at nine-under after a mediocre Thursday.
"I kind of felt like I was kind of fanning the putter face too much and stayed last night practicing it and trying to make sure I felt comfortable with it,” he said after the round, per Rex Hoggard of the Golf Channel.
It certainly paid off.
The day wasn't without its share of memorable shots either. Adam Scott's eagle on No. 5 was certainly a highlight:
So too was Jonathan Byrd's absolutely brilliant birdie on No. 18:
But all eyes will be on Woods over the weekend. Not only is Woods playing with the berth in The Barclays on the line, he's also playing to salvage something positive out of a season that has been downright dreadful at times.
Win or lose, he'll be the center of attention. Not much has changed in that regard.
