Oday Aboushi Suspended: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction on Jets OL
New York Jets guard Oday Aboushi has been suspended one game by the NFL for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Following the announcement, per NFL Network's Rand Getlin, Aboushi's representatives released a statement explaining the situation stemming from a January traffic stop:

Per Brian Costello of the New York Post, Aboushi issued an apology for the situation, saying he understands the repercussions and "is focused on moving forward."
Jets head coach Todd Bowles expressed his disappointment in the situation while remaining supportive of Aboushi, per Kimberley A. Martin of Newsday:
The 24-year-old Aboushi was a fifth-round pick by the Jets in 2013. He appeared in 15 games last season, making 10 starts, but is currently listed third on the official depth chart behind James Carpenter and Dakota Dozier.
Given how far down the depth chart Aboushi has been placed, combined with the suspension, his spot with the Jets seems more tenuous than ever. He's young and has starting experience, but the new coaching staff is trying to build a roster in its image.
Aboushi could end up fitting into those plans, but his one-game suspension may alter what Bowles and the staff will do when they must cut the roster to 53 players by 4 p.m. ET on Sept. 5.
