'F--k Lane Kiffin' Chanted by Ole Miss Fans in Viral Video During 'College GameDay' Before LSU Game

Ole Miss fans gave Lane Kiffin a not-so-warm welcome in his return to Oxford for the first time since leaving the program for LSU.

Chants of "f--k Lane Kiffin" could be heard during taping of ESPN's College GameDay the morning before Saturday's rivalry matchup.

No. 7 LSU and No. 8 Ole Miss are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

The chants likely won't come as a surprise to Kiffin, who prepared for the matchup by getting LSU students to heckle his players as a warm-up for the reaction they might receive at Ole Miss.

Kiffin departed Ole Miss last fall just before the program's first playoff run after accepting a job offer to join LSU ahead of the 2026 season.

Ole Miss has braced for what could be an emotionally-charged matchup by banning LSU colors in the student section, while Mississippi law enforcement is increasing its presence in Oxford this weekend.

Both Kiffin and Ole Miss coach Pete Golding have said their plan is to keep players' focus on the game.

Kiffin said Monday he has told his players they can focus on playing because "there's just going to be so much attention, hatred, everything on me."

Golding said Friday on ESPN's Pat McAfee Show his message was for his team to focus on the way they played in season-opening wins over Louisville and Charlotte.

"Regardless of whether Coach Kiff's on the other side or not, if we're not going to executive our plan at a high level, then we're not going to win," Golding said.

A major factor in Kiffin's hope of winning his first game against his former program is the health of LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt, who On3's Pete Nakos reports has been dealing with throwing shoulder soreness.

Leavitt was listed as doubtful earlier this week before he was removed from the injury report a day before Saturday's kickoff.
