Deion Sanders Says He 'Made Some Calls' to Jimmy Horn Jr. Before WR's Browns Contract
After one of his former players got cut this week, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders attempted to help Jimmy Horn Jr. find his next team.
The Buffaloes' head coach said on his weekly coaches show that he quickly called Horn after he was waived by the Carolina Panthers this week. Horn has since signed with the Cleveland Browns, where Sanders' son, Shedeur, is the backup quarterback.
"I made some calls to him. Immediately," Sanders (36:40 mark). "Jimmy's great."

Horn spent two seasons playing for Sanders and Colorado, recording 441 yards and a touchdown in his final campaign with the Buffaloes. He was a sixth-round draft pick by the Panthers in 2025, recording 11 receptions for 108 yards in 13 games as a rookie.
Sanders and Colorado are off to a 2-0 start after a season-opening win over Georgia Tech and a victory over Weber State last week. The Buffs will look to stay undefeated this week as they face Northwestern on Saturday.
