After being released by the Carolina Panthers earlier this week, second-year wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. reportedly has quickly found a new home with a familiar face.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Horn is expected to sign with the Cleveland Browns, which will reunite him with former Colorado teammate Shedeur Sanders.

A sixth-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, Horn was waived by the Panthers on Tuesday following a disappointing showing in Sunday's season opener against the Chicago Bears. He muffed a punt and nearly lost a fumble before being ruled down by contact as the Panthers suffered a 59-37 loss. He was targeted just once in the passing attack and didn't record a catch.

Horn had trouble seeing the field during his rookie season, finishing with 11 catches for 108 yards across 13 games. He didn't catch either of his two targets during Carolina's playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

While Sanders is currently Cleveland's backup quarterback behind Deshaun Watson, he will certainly enjoy having Horn in the fold. The duo had a solid connection at Colorado, with Horn catching seven touchdown passes over two seasons with the Buffaloes.

Horn is joining a Browns team that is coming off a 34-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1. Cleveland is going through a rebuild year, so the 24-year-old could have the chance to prove his worth. The team will be back in action on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1).
