Perth Darts Masters 2015: Scores, Results and Final Prize Money After Sunday
Darts living legend Phil Taylor captured the Perth Masters title on Sunday after an electric performance against fellow countryman James Wade. The Power won the final 11-7, defending the title he claimed last year.
The 55-year-old multiple world champion walked away with the £10,000 winner's cheque, and leads the World Series of Darts, per Darts.tv.
The tournament's official Twitter account shared Taylor collecting his prize and trophy, and included a full set of competition results:
Taylor Gains World Matchplay Revenge
The machine that is Phil Taylor appears to know no limits, with the darts icon bouncing back from his loss to Wade in last month's World Matchplay.
The Power was as smooth as a Rolls Royce on Sunday night in Australia, keeping Englishman Wade at bay for the whole contest.
Wade has often struggled against Taylor on the competitive stage; he has only nine wins to his name against Taylor's 45, per DartsDatabase.co.uk. As mentioned, Wade was victorious in their gruelling World Matchplay contest, prevailing 17-14 on that occasion, but he could not repeat the performance in Perth.

Wade won the first leg against Taylor's opening dart, but The Power put his foot down on the pedal and raced away from his opponent.
Taylor accumulated five straight legs without reply, and the burst of quality was enough to wreck Wade's chances of victory.
Wade did win a couple of legs to make it 5-3, but Taylor always seemed in control and fit for the task. The champion maintained the two-leg lead for most of the match—leading Wade by 9-7 at one point—and took the title in style in the final two legs.
Taylor kept his averages at a world-class level for the whole of the final, as described by the Perth Masters:
Wade was content with his overall performance at the event, with a star studded gathering of darts royalty in attendance, and spoke about his pleasure of performing for the Aussie crowd, as quoted by Live Darts:
Taylor gave credit to his opponent after the battle and described his happiness at winning the Perth Masters for a second straight year, per Live Darts:
Every time that it looks like Taylor might be moving out to pasture, the Stoke-born hero beats men half his age.
Wade is one of the very best darts players in the world, but he simply doesn't have the ruthlessness that Taylor possesses.
In this mood, Taylor will fancy himself at winning yet another world title—he has an astonishing 16 titles to his name—and if he can stay fit and focused, fans of the sport wouldn't dare bet against The Power grabbing a 17th championship.
