NASCAR Xfinity Series at Ohio 2015: Results: Winner, Standings and Reaction
Regan Smith stole the checkered flag from Alex Tagliani on the final turn of Saturday's Nationwide Children's Hospital 200 at Mid-Ohio to cap off a day littered with yellow flags.
The bends and curves of one of Xfinity's trickiest tracks created plenty of problems for drivers and many memorable moments before Smith pulled off the late pass.
Xfinity captured the post-race celebration:

The winding road course lived up to its billing—tricky and filled with caution flags, hence the Series' decision to cut down the lap count in recent years.
Just a view of pit road does the talking well, as NASCAR on NBC captured:
Suffice it to say, one bump on such a course and things get hectic.
Which they did right out of the gates, as David Starr got stuck in fourth gear and caused the race's first caution just seven laps into the event. Kenny Habul held things up right after thanks to a trip into the sand after 16 laps.
Xfinity Racing provided the image:
Officials waved another yellow flag just a few laps later after one driver took a detour into the sand traps:
Not to be outdone, the track itself caused yet another thanks to a fluid caution a bit after, which had a bit of a repeat performance around the 50-lap mark.
Through all the winding drama, pole winner Tagliani and Chris Buescher fought with one another for the lead, while Chase Elliott, Smith and others entered the fray in what turned out to be a chess match of an event thanks to the opportunity to pit often for fuel and tires.
Elliott was the first to somewhat dip from contention thanks to fuel issues, which was disappointing considering he entered second on the leaderboard after two top-10 finishes in the week prior. He wound up finishing third.
Tagliani was one of the race's biggest surprises, making his first start of the season at the Xfinity level after winning the pole. He battled with Buescher early on and stuck in second place through the cautions against all comers.
Of course, Tagliani wasn't content to stay in second place. NASCAR on NBC provided a look at his epic pass with about 12 laps left:
Right on cue, the race hit another halt when Ryan Reed spun into the gravel, making for a nail-biting finish with a restart coming at the eight-lap mark.
Which, of course, got around one turn and prompted another yellow thanks to a multi-car wreck. The Series itself went ahead and snapped a photo and slapped the perfect pun on it:
Once again, the drivers tried to restart with three laps left, and Tagliani did a solid job of fending off Smith until the final turn, where the veteran pulled off a savvy move to take the lead.
The pass is an eye-of-the-beholder type ordeal:
For Smith, who might move up next year, he wants the wins now, per Fox Sports: NASCAR:
It's a heartbreaking loss for Tagliani but one he can learn from moving forward. Still, he wasn't too pleased with the controversial finish, per Dustin Long of NBC Sports:
As for Smith, he remained consistent down the stretch, and it's hard to complain about the finish. He struggled last week at The Glen to 20th, so the checkered-flag performance does wonders for his sticking in the top five.
It's a short turnaround week for Smith, Buescher and the rest of the Xfinity Series drivers as they next head to Bristol for the Food City 300.
There, the drivers will need to deal with one another and Sprint Cup regulars as the season winds down. Buescher will look to fend off the rest of the Series as the gap at the top of the leaderboard continues to shrink.
