Perth Darts Masters 2015: Scores, Results, Updated Schedule After Saturday
Gary Anderson will meet defending champion Phil Taylor in the semi-finals of the 2015 Perth Darts Masters after beating Adrian Lewis 8-7 in a 15-leg quarter-final thriller on Saturday.
The competition's No. 4 seed won five successive legs at 6-1 down to record a terrific victory and advance to the final four in his first year of competing at the Perth event.
Taylor soared past Kyle Anderson in his quarter-final to book a place in the next phase, with second-seed Michael van Gerwen and James Wade the other big names making it to the tournament's penultimate stage.
The official Perth Darts Masters Twitter account provided a roundup of Saturday's results along with a full tournament draw and confirmation of Sunday's semi-final fixtures:
Recap
Perth saved the biggest drama for last on Saturday as a clash between Gary Anderson and Lewis saw the former return from 6-1 down to claim a memorable comeback in Perth.
As broadcaster Stuart Pyke attested, things don't get much easier for the Flying Scotsman in the next round, however, where he'll take on another Stoke superstar in the form of title-holder Taylor:
Anderson has been a pest to Lewis in recent months and Darts Database numbers show this was the Scot's sixth time beating the Englishman from seven encounters this year.
At five legs down, Anderson proceeded to win five in a row and tie the match at 6-6, and Lewis missed two match darts at seven legs apiece to surrender a bitter defeat Down Under.
That was after Van Gerwen made his way past the challenge of Raymond van Barneveld with a stellar average of 105.94 to continue his campaign with impressive form.
The pair were tied 3-3, but Mighty Mike pulled away with a flurry of fine throws as Darts Journalist confirmed his superior statistics in just about every area:
That display after the break included an 11-darter before sealing the victory with a 47 checkout, although nothing could be taken from Barney in what was a spirited outing against his Dutch countryman.
The other Anderson in action on Saturday was Perth native Kyle, who is the last remaining Australian in the competition, earning the admiration of 8-3 victor Taylor:
Having won the inaugural competition last year, The Power is in prime position to maintain a 100 percent record in Perth, but must swat the more accomplished Anderson aside before he can defend his title in Sunday's finale.
Taylor ended his quarter-final in some style with a 13-dart leg, recording checkouts of 101 and 106 to establish clear superiority over minnow opposition.

That five-leg margin wasn't the biggest seen on Saturday, though, after Peter Wright fell to Wade 8-2 in the opening encounter to end his tournament in abrupt fashion.
"Fashion" being the operative word on Saturday as Snakebite emerged in front of the Perth crowd evidently fired up for the last-eight collision:
Distraction tactics did the Scot no good, however, and despite managing to bring the deficit back to 4-2 with a superb 12-darter, Wade was the more consistent scorer on the day.
Sunday's clash between Anderson and Taylor looks particularly appetising, but Wade will consider his meeting with Van Gerwen a nothing-to-lose tie, which is sure to add a touch of spice to their showdown.
