On Wednesday, the Associated Press noted 33 athletes in various sportsโincluding 16 football playersโwere part of a lawsuit as they sought a fifth year of collegiate eligibility. The temporary restraining order from a Louisiana court made them eligible to return.ย
Brad Crawford of CBS Sports noted Wright, who has been a member of the Browns' practice squad during training camp, is the first active NFL player to enter the collegiate transfer portal.
While he went undrafted in April, he helped lead Ole Miss to a College Football Playoff spot in his final season with 39 catches for 635 yards and five touchdowns.
He scored one of his touchdowns during an SEC win over South Carolina and another during the Rebels' CFP loss to Miami in the national semifinals.ย
Harris was also part of that Ole Miss team and finished the 2025 season with 58 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, three passes defended and one interception.
He also went undrafted in April.
