The Best Photo/Videobombs of the Year So Far
Photobombs, and especially videobombs, are all the rage in sports. There are many 2015 gems to choose from, but only a few are great. Only a few display the spontaneity, originality and, above all, hilarity needed for greatness.
Photobomb and videobomb amateurs should take a lesson from Pete Carroll, an unintentional videobomb master. If he can't get you to emit even a hint of laughter, then it might be time to check your pulse. David Beckham's not bad either.
10. Steve Kerr
Steve Kerr is the best. Remember when he zinged LeBron James for "slide tackling" during the NBA Finals? Well, his humor translates to videobombs, too. In February, he walked into an ESPN SportsCenter segment with Marc Stein and proved he's just a big kid at heart.
9. Terrell Suggs
NFL training camp is serious business—well, for most people anyway. Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs clowned around as a teammate prepared, flawlessly pulling off one of those kinda-creepy-but-also-funny videobombs.
8. Benny the Bull
Benny the Bull is a great videobomber. He's a repeat offender, but his attack on Milwaukee Bucks reporters in February was particularly masterful. Sometimes, creepy is funny.
7. Left Shark

You remember the star of Super Bowl XLIX. No, not Malcolm Butler—the left shark, obviously. You know, the one who totally hijacked Katy Perry's halftime show and became an Internet sensation? That one.
Kudos to the college basketball fans who used the shark's likeness to videobomb an ESPN broadcast in February. Even though the replica sharks constituted copyright infringement, it was still funny at the time, especially because Danny DeVito was there too.
6. Urban Meyer and the Wives
So, Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer is pretty much an expert photobomber at this point. For real, remember this? And this? Still, he reached new heights with this invasion of an OSU coaches' wives photo.
5. Bango on a Segway
Mascot videobombs aren't exactly uncommon, but Bango of the Milwaukee Bucks took the cake when he pulled one off on a Segway. That's right. Abby Chin of CSN never even knew what hit her.
4. David Beckham
David Beckham—retired soccer legend, spokesman and international superstar. Beckham is all these things, but he is also a dad, and dads are bound by the unwritten laws of parenthood to embarrass their kids from time to time.
Beckham's oldest son, Brooklyn, made a video in April announcing a milestone moment: He had reached one million Instagram followers. Dear old dad interrupted the filming to point out, "I've got 52."
3. Flacco Debate
The GOP presidential debate was full of tough questions, but perhaps the toughest came before Donald Trump had even finished fluffing his hair.
During an MSNBC preview on Hardball with Chris Matthews, an audience member asked a question sports fans have been pondering for years. Is Joe Flacco an elite quarterback? Too bad the candidates never actually weighed in on that one.
2. Chris Baker Belly Dance
Can't a guy give an interview without being interrupted these days? The answer is no, and I'm not mad about it.
Washington Redskins wide receiver Andre Roberts sat down to chat with CSN Washington during training camp, but defensive lineman Chris Baker just couldn't let him have the spotlight. No, that went to Baker's belly instead.
1. Pete Carroll
Pete Carroll was at the NFL annual meetings in March when he victimized John Clayton of ESPN with a hilarious videobomb. The best part was the pondering gaze of confusion and swift exit. Later, Carroll tweeted an explanation for the delightful interruption: "Actually I just wanted to see if he really had a ponytail!"
You slay me, Pete Carroll.
