A's Jacob Wilson Sets MLB Record for Longest Errorless Streak, Whose Record Did He Break?

Most MLB players make errors from time to time, especially early on in their careers.

Jacob Wilson is the exception.

The Athletics shortstop recorded his 111th consecutive game without an error on Sunday, marking a new record at the position. He surpassed Mike Bordick, who set the record back in 2002.

Wilson's last error came on July 6, 2025, more than a year ago.

"It's a special day for me, but at the end of the day, we got our first series win in a long time against a great opponent," Wilson said. "We've got to keep that ball rolling."

The Athletics have a long way to go before they are contenders, but they can rest assured knowing their shortstop isn't going to make many mistakes in the infield.
