Bulls' Caleb Wilson Gives Blunt Response to Going No. 4 in NBA Draft Ahead of Summer League
Chicago Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson seems ready to prove himself after going fourth in the 2026 NBA draft behind A.J. Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson and Cameron Boozer.
"Everybody has the right to their own opinion, so I don't really care," Wilson told Andscape's Marc J. Spears about his status as the No. 4 pick. "I'll have the opportunity to play against everybody."
Wilson has made it clear he has high expectations for his rookie season. He said shortly after the Bulls drafted him he expected to finish the 2026-27 campaign as the NBA's Rookie of the Year.

When asked about comparisons to former UNC star Michael Jordan, Wilson also told reporters he wanted to "be better than Mike."
Wilson will now get his first chance to live up to those high standards as he prepares to potentially face Dybantsa, Peterson and Boozer in the 2026 NBA Summer League this week in Las Vegas.
The Bulls rookie told reporters earlier this week he's been waiting for his Summer League debut since the end of his lone college season.
Wilson averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per game while playing for UNC last season.
He suffered hand and thumb injuries that sidelined him late in the campaign but was still named a Second Team All-American after appearing in 24 games.
Wilson will now look to prove both that he's fully healed from those injuries and that he can contend with the top draft picks in his rookie class when the Bulls' Summer League slate tips off Friday with a 5 p.m. ET matchup against Boozer and the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Bulls' Summer League action continues Monday against Peterson and the Utah Jazz, followed by a Tuesday game against Dybantsa and the Washington Wizards.
