Can Switzerland Finally Make It Past Round of 16?
2 of 3
Switzerland was knocked out in the round of 16 in 2014, 2018 and 2022.
The Swiss haven't made it to the quarterfinals of a men's World Cup since the tournament was on their home soil in 1954.
More recently, the Swiss are 0-5 in the round of 16 dating back to the 1994 World Cup in the United States.
It could be different this time around, though, because there's a game-changing talent in the squad in the form of Johan Manzambi.
Manzambi has become one of the breakout stars of the tournament with three goals.
There are other solid players within the Swiss squad, but Manzambi is at another level. That's the type of talent Switzerland needs to break its round of 16 struggles.
The supporting cast around him must be strong too, especially Breel Embolo up top and the back line.
But if Switzerland gets through to the quarterfinals, Manzambi will likely play a heavy role in doing so.
Colombia After Second-Ever Quarterfinal Berth
3 of 3
Colombia has looked like one of the best sides in the tournament through four games.
Los Cafeteros allowed one goal on their way to earning first place in Group K over Portugal.
They then earned a 1-0 win over Ghana in the round of 32 to set up Tuesday's clash with Switzerland.
The defense hasn't conceded since Matchday 1 and the attack is loaded with top-tier talent. Bayern Munich's Luis Diaz is the headliner.
Colombia's played as perfect of a tournament as you can so far. It won't change much in its approach for Tuesday.
The only thing that might affect it is the travel. Colombia played its last group game in Miami, was in Kansas City for the round of 32 and now will be in Vancouver for the round of 16.
If it wins, Colombia would earn the second quarterfinal berth in program history. The other one came in 2014, when it lost to Brazil in the final eight in Brazil.
