World Cup 2026 Odds, Updated Predictions for Tuesday's Round of 32 Matches
Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland begin their respective quests in the 2026 FIFA World Cup knockout round on Tuesday.
Mbappe and Haaland stunned with their goal-scoring abilities throughout the group stage. Both players are tied for second in the Golden Boot race with four goals.
The pair of attacking superstars should have plenty of chances to score against Ivory Coast and Sweden on Tuesday afternoon.
The opening two games on Tuesday's slate are far more likely to have goals than the nightcap.
Mexico-Ecuador sets up as a cagey, defensive affair between two teams used to playing at altitude.

Ivory Coast vs. Norway
2 of 4
Erling Haaland's first World Cup group stage was a massive success.
Haaland scored twice in both of his starts and led Norway to second place behind France in Group I.
The Manchester City striker is well rested for Tuesday after Norway rotated its squad on Matchday 3 in a loss to France.
Haaland is expected to have a few chances at goal versus the Ivory Coast, who took second in Group E behind Germany.
The Ivorians used wins over Ecuador and Curacao to qualify. They held their own against Germany, but they did concede two second-half goals in that game.
With Yan Diomande and Nicolas Pepe, Ivory Coast has a strong attacking corps of its own, so it should go after the game and not sit back, like other underdogs have already done in the round of 32.
The over/under of 2.5 sits at -112. That's a bet to look at given the attacking prowess on both sides.
Haaland is -140 to score in regulation. That appears to be an auto-bet given the form he's currently in.
Norway has the better finisher up top. That could make the ultimate difference in what could be a game full of attacking chances.
Prediction: Norway 3, Ivory Coast 1
France vs. Sweden
3 of 4
Kylian Mbappe and France couldn't have asked for a better matchup in the round of 32.
Sweden allowed seven goals in Group F, including five to the Netherlands.
The Swedish back line is as questionable as they come, which is great news for Mbappe, Michael Olise and Ousmane Dembele.
Mbappe, Olise and Dembele are the best attacking trio left in the tournament. They should create at least two or three goals between them on Tuesday.
After all, that's now the minimum expectation for a France team that netted 10 goals in three group-stage games.
Sweden can punch back through Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak, so it isn't a total pushover.
However, everyone is expecting France to roll against a suspect defense and continue its push to return to the World Cup final.
A majority of Mbappe's odds are heavily juiced, including a -210 price to score in regulation.
A Same Game Parlay of Mbappe, Olise and Dembele to score or assist pays out at +190. That's the bet to make if you believe France will score multiple goals.
Prediction: France 4, Sweden 1
Mexico vs. Ecuador
4 of 4
Tuesday's nightcap is for the lovers of defense.
Mexico and Ecuador will both be incredibly difficult to break down.
Mexico didn't concede a goal on its way to first place in Group A, while Ecuador allowed two tallies in Group E.
Ecuador conceded a late winner to Ivory Coast and an early opener to Germany, but for most of those games, it was tough to break down.
Ecuador won't be affected by the altitude in Mexico City because it plays at altitude itself, so that advantage won't play in Mexico's favor.
The under 2.5 sits at -250 for good reason. Neither side will concede a ton of significant attacking chances.
A low-scoring game that heads to extra time, or penalties, seems like the likeliest outcome in Mexico City.
Mexico does have more game-breakers on its roster, led by Julian Quinones.
El Tri should rally itself with its home-field advantage and find a way to win, but it won't be easy.
Prediction: Mexico 1, Ecuador 0 (Final in Extra Time)
