World Cup 2026 Odds, Updated Predictions for Monday's Round of 32 Matches
Brazil, Germany and the Netherlands open their knockout-round runs at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Monday.
Brazil and Germany are convincing favorites against Japan and Paraguay.
The Netherlands are expected to be locked in a battle with Morocco in what many people believe is the top game in the round of 32.
Morocco was a semifinalist at the 2022 World Cup. A case could be made that the African side is better than the unit that made the unexpected final four run.
Regulation wins are expected for Brazil and Germany, who should dominate the bulk of the scoring chances and possession.

Brazil vs. Japan
2 of 4
Brazil found its attacking rhythm in its final two Group C games.
The Selecao bagged three goals each against Scotland and Haiti to create plenty of momentum for the knockout phase.
Vinicius Junior and Matheus Cunha were responsible for all seven goals Brazil netted in Group C play.
Vinicius is -120 to score or assist, while Cunha sits at +140 for the same prop. That's one of the ways you can approach Brazil's clash with Japan.
Brazil to have over 5.5 shots on target is worth a look as well. The Selecao will have the bulk of the ball for 90, or 120, minutes.
Japan's defense needs to absorb the Brazilian pressure and strike on the counter.
Brazil's attack may be too much for the Blue Samurai to handle, though, and this feels like a multi-goal win for the South American side with title aspirations.
Prediction: Brazil 3, Japan 0
Germany vs. Paraguay
3 of 4
The Germany versus Paraguay script will be similar to Brazil-Japan.
Germany will control the ball and create a majority of the attacking chances in the contest.
Kai Havertz is Germany's top target man. He should receive plenty of opportunities to score, so he's an intriguing bet at -135 to score or assist.
Jamal Musiala, Florian Wirtz and Leroy Sane are all so technically gifted, so breaking down a low defensive block might be easier for Germany than it would be for other tournament favorites with different types of attackers on their roster.
Just like Brazil, it's easy to go after the over 5.5 shots on target prop, as well as the Germany team total of over 1.5 goals.
Paraguay is a solid defensive team, but it showed in its opener against the United States, that the right combination of attackers can tear its back line apart.
Prediction: Germany 3, Paraguay 0
Netherlands vs. Morocco
4 of 4
There are lofty expectations for Netherlands-Morocco.
The Dutch are one of the perennial World Cup contenders are scored 10 goals to win Group F.
Morocco produced two consecutive wins after an opening draw against Brazil in Group C.
Liverpool's Cody Gakpo and Sunderland's Brian Brobbey did the bulk of the scoring for the Oranje in Group F. They have a tougher defensive assignment on Monday versus a Morocco team that was tough to concede against four years ago in the knockout round.
Morocco is arguably better poised to succeed in attack this time around with PSV's Ismael Saibari is terrific form. Saibari is -155 to record one shot on target. That's a prop worth taking because Morocco will produce some attacking pressure.
Saibari scored in each of Morocco's group-stage games. He'll get a chance to prove what he can do against a world-class defender in Virgil Van Dijk.
It's a fascinating matchup from all angles, which is why a low-scoring game that potentially heads to extra time is the expectation from most experts.
Even if the game doesn't reach extra time, the margins will be incredibly close for 90 minutes.
The Dutch have the most quality in attack. Look for Gakpo to emerge as the difference-maker. He's a good bet at +145 to score or assist.
Prediction: Netherlands 1, Morocco 0
