Knicks' Jose Alvarado, WWE's Damian Priest, Lola Vice Celebrate Puerto Rican Day Parade in Videos
New York Knicks guard Jose Alvarado had an early celebration parade after winning the 2026 NBA championship.
Alvarado was seen in attendance at the Puerto Rican Day parade in New York City on Sunday afternoon, and he was even on a float with Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
WWE Tag Team Champion Damian Priest, who was celebrating the Knicks' win on Saturday night, was also in attendance at the parade alongside his girlfriend, NXT Women's Champion Lola Vice:
An NYC native, Alvarado was born in Brooklyn and starred at Christ the King High School in Queens. He arrived to New York as part of a midseason trade from the New Orleans Pelicans, and he quickly endeared himself to his hometown team and its fans. He was proudly and unanimously proclaimed as the "most New York" player on the Knicks.
Alvarado averaged 4.2 points in a reserve role during the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. However, he managed to make an impact in a multitude of ways. He routinely shared the ball-handling duties with star point guard and NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson, and he scored eight points in the Knicks' epic Game 4 comeback victory.
Alvarado was also joined by Knicks teammate Jordan Clarkson at Sunday's parade, and fans serenated them with chants of "Knicks in five!"
"Thank you guys so much, it means the world to me. Really," Alvarado said as he stood on a float, per Sofia Poznansky and Caitlin McCormack of the New York Post. "I'm a kid from Brooklyn. And the Knicks party f--kin' did it."
