NBA Finals Bracket 2026 Odds, Box Score Predictions for Knicks vs. Spurs Game 5
Game 4 of the 2026 NBA finals was one for the ages, and it sets up a series that will be long remembered for one reason or another.
The New York Knicks' comeback from down 29 points is the largest in Finals history. New York has taken a commanding 3-1 lead in the series and is on the brink of winning its first NBA title since 1973.
The San Antonio Spurs aren't done just yet, though, and are looking to become just the second team ever to overcome a 3-1 series deficit in the Finals. Only the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers have accomplished that feat, but if there's a player in this series poised to replicate prime LeBron James, it's San Antonio's Victor Wembanyama.
Will Game 5 bring the start of New York's celebration? The beginning of an epic Spurs comeback? Let's examine the odds and make a few predictions.

Expect the Spurs to Keep Series Alive, Knicks to Cover
2 of 3
The Spurs have shown time and time again during the postseason that they're a resilient team. They battled the Minnesota Timberwolves through a six-game series before outlasting the Oklahoma City Thunder in a seven-game series.
Naturally, San Antonio came into the Finals with more wear and tear than the Knicks, who rolled through an Eastern Conference Finals sweep. However, it's highly unlikely that Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, and Co. have lost their confidence after going down 3-1.
Blowing a 29-point lead on the road might break most teams, but San Antonio knows it was just one play away from an even series and a 2-0 road run. An extra day of rest should allow the Spurs to come out swinging at home.
At the same time, though, fans shouldn't expect San Antonio to run away with this one. New York has consistently shown that it can keep games close and surge back when things aren't. Its comeback from a 22-point fourth-quarter deficit against the Cleveland Cavaliers was a precursor to Wednesday's statement win.
Expect Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, Karl-Anthony Towns, and the Knicks to keep things within a few points, even if they lose, as they did in Game 4.
Wembanyama and Brunson to Both Shine
3 of 3
Brunson has been the Knicks' playoff hero, and Wembanyama might already be the best young individual player in the NBA. Both should have big games on Saturday.
On Wednesday, the Spurs made sure that Brunson wouldn't take over the game offensively, regularly pressuring him at half court and limiting his options with a dwindling shot clock. He still finished with a team-high 36 points, though, so it's not as if San Antonio has figured him out.
With Anunoby proving that fully focusing on Brunson won't work, expect Brunson to have another prolific offensive outing.
Wembanyama, meanwhile, finished Game 4 with his lowest point total of the series (24), though his biggest issue was self-inflicted. After building a big lead, the Spurs kept rushing their offensive series, working the perimeter first, and stumbling through poor shot selection. It was a team-wide problem, but Wembanyama was part of it.
Expect Wemby to have a more efficient game down low in this one, with San Antonio putting more emphasis on working the ball from the inside out.
Wembanyama is +124 (bet $100 to win $24) to reach 30 points, while Brunson is +132. Don't be surprised if both hit the mark.
