Recap
England put in a dominant performance on Day 3 of the tournament, racking up a phenomenal 85 points against Samoa.
After her heroics on Saturday, Helen Housby started against Samoa and the 20-year-old certainly rewarded coach Tracey Neville's faith in her.
Denise Evans of the Manchester Evening News was glad Housby started the match:
The 20-year-old scored 26 goals in the first two quarters as England raced into the lead, maintaining an impressive 90 percent shooting accuracy.
The youngster took to Twitter after the match to thank the traveling supporters for their contribution to the team's efforts:
Alongside Housby in attack was Pamela Cookey, whose faultless 17 goals from 17 shots helped the Roses establish a 43-9 lead after two quarters, the play flowing through Sara Bayman, who racked up 21 assists.
As Sky Sports Netball notes, the third quarter was a tighter affair, as Samoa scored 14 goals:
That was largely due to the efforts of Auteletoa Tanimo and Sanita Too, who managed to score three goals in a row early on, per Netball World Cup:
However, England remained comfortable throughout thanks to their clinical shooting, which, as Netball World Cup illustrates on Twitter, was particularly accurate:
Rounding off the scoring was Joanne Harten and Rachel Dunn, who combined for 43 goals of their own.
Australia's match with New Zealand was a much closer contest.
After the first two quarters, the Silver Ferns led by just three points, but a poor third quarter for the hosts helped New Zealand double their lead, and from then on, there would be only one result.
Caitlin Bassett scored an excellent 38 goals for Australia, but the hosts missed Caitlin Thwaites, who played so well on Saturday.

In her place came Erin Bell, but the 28-year-old will be disappointed with her contribution of three goals from just seven shots.
For New Zealand, Maria Tutaia should have done better than her 34 goals from 48 shots, but thankfully for the Silver Ferns, goal shooter Bailey Mes was much more ruthless, as she struck 18 times with 86 percent accuracy.
Despite the loss, Australia will undoubtedly be England's biggest test of the World Cup so far. The defending champions were on a 21-match winning streak prior to meeting New Zealand, so expect them to restore Bassett's successful partnership with Thwaites as they bid to get their campaign back on track.
Neville has an array of attacking talent to call on, though, and her team's confidence will be sky-high, so expect the Roses to run the Diamonds close when they clash on Tuesday.
