Updated Weather Forecast for UFC White House Freedom 250 Ahead of Historic Fight Card

Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje might be battling adverse weather conditions in addition to one another when UFC Freedom 250 takes place Sunday, June 14, at the White House.

The Weather Channel is predicting a 31 percent chance of rain in the Washington, D.C., area, with potential thunderstorms in the afternoon. The forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies at night, so any rain may have moved through by the time the card gets underway at 8 p.m. ET

The forecast includes winds of five to 10 miles per hour.

UFC Freedom 250 is set to take place in front of an audience of 4,300 people on the South Lawn of the White House, with another 85,000 tickets being issued for a viewing party at the nearby Ellipse.

Spectators on the South Lawn will be in temporary seating beneath an 87-foot canopy, per Forbes' Matt Craig.

If any lightning is spotted within eight miles of the South Lawn, there will be a 30-minute evacuation, according to TIME's Ariel Fisher.

The UFC is receiving hourly updates from multiple weather services throughout the week leading up to the fight, Fisher reported.

UFC Freedom 250 will be headlined by Topuria and Gaethje's lightweight title unification bout, while Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane's fight for the interim heavyweight title as the co-main event.
