$1M Bet Placed on Topuria vs. Gaethje Fight at UFC White House Freedom 250 by Tsarukyan on Video
UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan made a bold wager on next week's Freedom 250 main event.
Tsarukyan, who is likely next in line to face the winner of the lightweight title unification fight between reigning champion Ilia Topuria and interim champ Justin Gaethje, placed a $1 million bet on Gaethje to win the fight. Tsarukyan would receive a $5.7 million payout if Gaethje scores the upset victory at the White House on June 14.

Takeaways From UFC Fight Night
"I want Ilia," Tsarukyan said before placing the wager during a Kick stream, per Jed Meshew of MMA Fighting. "But Gaethje, bro. Every time Gaethje fought, everybody thought he's going to lose, but he always won. Even [the] last one."
Tsarukyan originally planned on making a $50,000 bet before being talked into raising the stakes. After he was convinced to place the eye-popping wager, he began fantasizing about what he could do with the prize money.
"Bro, Gaethje, please. Just knock him out, and next day, I'll go and get the plane. Down payment on a plane," he said. He added about Gaethje, "We should get him a good watch."
Still, Tsarukyan eventually realized the enormity of his wager, and he admitted that he's taking a major risk.
"It's not easy to make $1 million," Tsarukyan said. "It was easy to click."
