England trailed Jamaica by five goals at the end of the second quarter, but an incredible third-quarter run gave the Roses the lead over the Sunshine Girls, setting up a 54-50 win to avenge last year's loss at the Commonwealth Games.

Jamaica appeared to be in full control of the match until the English team rallied around coach Tracey Neville to complete an unlikely comeback in what was surely the most exciting match of the young tournament. Sky Sports Netball was impressed:

It was 20-year-old Helen Housby, playing in her first-ever Netball World Cup, who made the difference. Introduced at half-time, the young sharpshooter showed no signs of nerves whatsoever, contributing 11 goals in the second half, per Manchester Evening News' Denise Evans:

As you might expect, the youngster was more than just a little excited after the match, taking to Twitter to thank all of her fans:

England looked more composed in the buildup play compared to their opening match against Scotland, and while the Sunshine Girls finished the match with a far better shooting percentage and more rebounds, the turnover battle proved to be the difference, via Sky Sports Netball.

Defending champions Australia predictably cruised past Barbados, winning 83-16 and sending a clear warning sign to rivals New Zealand, their final Group A opponents on Sunday. The Diamonds have now won 21 straight matches and haven't lost to the Silver Ferns in their last nine.

The hosts tightened up their defence in the second match after an inconsistent performance against Trinidad and Tobago on Friday, and the results were immediate. Barbados managed just three goals in the first quarter and had no answer for Caitlin Thwaites and Caitlin Bassett who combined to score 47 goals from just 48 shots.

New Zealand didn't exactly struggle against Trinidad and Tobago, either, winning 74-38 to ensure both favourites for the title enter Sunday's clash undefeated. The Calypso Girls managed to hang around for much of the first half before a number of defensive miscues sunk the squad, and the Silver Ferns took full advantage.

Once again, New Zealand's depth made the difference, but one has to wonder whether the Silver Ferns' starters have the raw quality to keep up with Australia. We'll find out on Sunday.

Malawi stole the show with a huge 101-18 win over Sri Lanka, the biggest of the tournament so far. The event's official Twitter account shared the crowd's reaction the moment the triple-digit mark was reached:

Malawi shot an incredible 91 percent from the field and crushed the overmatched Sri Lanka side in every facet of the game. Sunday's opponents Singapore are unlikely to offer much more resistance after their embarrassing loss against South Africa, so another slaughter could be on the cards.

Scotland got their first win of the tournament, beating Samoa, while Uganda came away with a 61-40 upset over seventh-ranked Fiji.
