Latest on a Potential Baron Corbin Return
1 of 3
Baron Corbin was unexpectedly released from WWE in 2024, ending a 12-year run that saw him find success as a badass, a broke-ass and King of the Ring, among other personae.
After a run on the independent scene as Bishop Dyer, he could be on his way back to WWE.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select followed up on an initial report from Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer, noting:
"Fightful Select has learned that Baron Corbin has finished up obligations with some companies he had been working with regularly. Among them included MLW, where he teamed with Donovan Dijak as the Skyscrapers. Those that we spoke to in the industry believe that he is either signed by WWE or will be imminently."
Corbin is a former tag team and United States champion who has competed against the top stars in the industry, including a lengthy rivalry with Roman Reigns.
The wrestler himself seemed to take exception, perhaps in an attempt to preserve some element of surprise, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to address the reports:
Whether the 41‑year‑old has finished up his commitments elsewhere does not necessarily contradict those reports; it simply suggests the timeline may be a bit off.
Regardless of when he returns, it is difficult to imagine Corbin being anything but an asset to the company.
Whether he appears for Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Evolve or AAA, he will benefit the product and finish the business he did not get to upon his release two years ago.
Update on LA Knight's Presence on WWE TV

LA Knight reappeared on Monday's Raw to take exception to The Usos realigning themselves with Roman Reigns in the Bloodline, but that does not reflect a new role for The Megastar on WWE TV.
Sapp reported for Fightful Select: "When we pressed on the situation, it was also claimed that it wasn't a result of an injury or pay dispute, or anything related to recent releases or pay cuts."
He added: "It was also confirmed to us that creative quickly changed after WrestleMania for a number of wrestlers. We're working to learn more about who and what changed."
The Monday after WrestleMania, Knight appeared in a backstage vignette with Gunther that seemed to suggest a feud between the two was on the horizon.
Instead, The Ring General moved to SmackDown, quickly becoming the next challenger to Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship and leaving Knight, still on Raw, again without a clear direction.
It is almost as if WWE takes his immense popularity for granted and does not see the 43-year-old as the star the audience reactions suggest he could be.
Stephanie Vaquer Injury Update
3 of 3
Stephanie Vaquer has not appeared on WWE television since a sneak attack by Liv Morgan sidelined her with a shoulder injury.
However, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that her hiatus is coming to an end, with La Primera expected back by Clash in Italy on May 31.
After losing the Women's World Championship as a result of interference from The Judgment Day, Vaquer will likely be looking to avenge the attack by Morgan and reclaim the gold that was hers for 210 days.
That she is an extraordinary in-ring performer will only help elevate the women's roster, too, giving it another Superstar to build around, something that benefits all involved.
