RJ Barrett's Kawhi-Esque Game-Winner Extends Raptors Season as Fans React to OT Thriller vs. Cavs

RJ Barrett delivered one of the most memorable moments of the 2026 NBA Playoffs to date with a game-winning three-pointer for the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.

Barrett's three-point shot bounced off the back of the rim and straight into the net to give the Raptors a 112-110 victory and force Game 7 in the first-round series versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Barrett's shot provided a jolt of energy into a nervous Toronto crowd. Prior to the game-winner, Jamal Shead missed a game-tying free throw. The Raptors were able to force a turnover to win the ball back and have a shot at winning Game 6.

Barrett, Scottie Barnes and Co. won Game 6 despite Brandon Ingram out injured. Barrett, Barnes and Ja'Kobe Walter all scored over 20 points.

The Cavs had their chance to eliminate the Raptors, but they were unable to close the deal, even with Toronto down one of its stars.

Donovan Mitchell scored 24 points, but he went 11-for-26 from the field and 2-for-10 from three-point range.

Game 7 between the two sides takes place Sunday in Cleveland.

Sunday's winner will meet the Detroit-Orlando series winner in the second round. Both of those series will end on Sunday. The Eastern Conference as a whole has three first-round Game 7s this weekend.
