Joe TanseyMay 2, 2026
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers finished off the Houston Rockets on Friday night in Game 6 of their first-round series.
James put up 28 points in yet another impressive performance against the Rockets without Luka Doncic on the floor.
James and the Lakers held the Rockets to 78 points. The most they gave up in a single quarter was 24 points.
The Rockets had four players reach double figures, but none of them reached the 20-point mark and their defense failed to contain James, Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are next up for the Lakers. Even if Doncic returns, the Lakers will be the overwhelming underdog.
