Korda controlled the tournament from start to finish, holding a five-shot lead after 54 holes before cruising to a dominant win Sunday to open the 2026 season after going winless in 2025.
"I think this year I just wanted to have a different mindset change of if I get into trouble, I'll figure it out," Korda said on Friday, per Josh Schrock of Golf.com. "Not like you look at something and, excuse my French, and say I'm f—-d. There are times where I've had that and now I'm like, I'll figure it out. So that's my biggest takeaway from last year and the years before. I don't want to have that mindset. I want to be like, okay, I'll figure it out and not stress myself out too much."
After opening with a 65 on Thursday, she backed it up with another strong round Friday, notching birdies on holes 1, 3 and 9 before adding five more on the back nine. The surge gave her the largest 36-hole lead at an LPGA Tour major since 1980.
She shot a 70 on Saturday, recording four birdies on the front nine and adding bogeys on holes 8 and 13.
Korda closed strong on Sunday, opening with birdies on hole 1 and 2 to go 2-under on the front. She traded two birdies with two bogeys on the back to finish with a 70 and run away with her third major championship.
Up next on the LPGA Tour schedule is the Mexico Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba, set for April 30–May 3 in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
