It marked Chiles' fourth career NCAA title. She was previously an Olympic gold medalist for the United States in the team event at the 2024 Games and captured a silver medal with the U.S. gymnastics team in 2021.
Chiles found individual success in multiple events during the NCAA Championships even though the Bruins weren't able to capture the team title. She also scored a 9.9500 for her beam routine.
Chiles was announced as the winner of the 2026 AAI Award, which is presented to the nation's top senior gymnast.
She later reflected on her final appearance at the NCAA Championships.
"It's bittersweet knowing that this was my last time," Chiles said, per Ella Dunderdale of the Daily Bruin. "I was simmering everything in, the crowd and all of that, after my vault. To know that I've done so much within this sport and college just means everything … I am as authentic as possible, and just showing the younger generation that you literally can do anything you put your mind to it, you're going to accomplish it."
Following another floor exercise championship, Chiles ended her UCLA gymnastics tenure on a high note.
