AEW Dynamite Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction, Highlights After Dynasty 2026
Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of AEW Dynamite on April 15.
Dynasty ended up being one of All Elite Wrestling's strongest pay-per-views in recent memory. Not only did we get a lot of great action, but we also saw a couple of new champions crowned.
Speaking of gold, this week's Spring Break Thru episode featured three belts being defended. Here's a look at what was advertised for the show:
Let's take a look at what happened on the post-Dynasty episode of Dynamite.
Opening Segment
1 of 9
MJF arrived at the arena and was immediately approached by Renee Paquette. He bragged about all of his recent accomplishments, including beating Kenny Omega. Don Callis congratulated him and apologized for "The Andrade thing."
MJF had no idea El Idolo lost to Allin or that Allin chose Wednesday night to claim his title shot. Paquette told him it would kick off the show and MJF ran away.
Back in the arena, Darby Allin made his entrance. MJF stormed out of the back with a mic and said he is not about to wrestle an impromptu match.
Allin took the mic and said if he's not ready now, he never will be ready. He talked about sacrificing blood for this company and how his career started just 10 miles away at The Buddy Wayne Academy.
Bryan Danielson stood up from the announce table and said Tony Khan sent him a message saying that he agrees that it's unfair for MJF to wrestle unprepared, so the match will now be in the main event, and if he refuses, he will be stripped of the title.
This was a very entertaining way to open the show and hype up the main event later in the show. It only took up the first 11 minutes of the show and accomplished everything it needed to do.

Notable Moments and Observations
Tommaso Ciampa vs. Dezmond Xavier
2 of 9
Last time in action: Ciampa lost the Casino Gauntlet (Dynasty), The Don Callis Family defeated The Rascalz (Collision, April 2)
As soon as the bell rang, an angry Tommaso Ciampa took Dezmond Xavier down and started stomping a mud hole in him.
Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz watched from ringside as The Psycho Killer did everything he could to take out his frustrations following his loss at Dynasty in the TNT title match.
Xavier was able to bounce back and get in some great offense, but it felt like Ciampa was controlling the pace a bit more throughout the match. He played a good base for all of Xavier's high-flying moves.
Ciampa ended up scoring the pin with a brutal running knee that Xavier sold beautifully. He gave a promo after the match about wanting all of the gold. He said whoever leaves as the world champion tonight will have a target on their back.
Result: Ciampa defeated Xavier
Grade: B
Notable Moments and Observations
FTR is On Top of the World
3 of 9
FTR was out after the break to discuss beating Adam Copeland and Christian Cage at Dynasty.
Stokely Hathaway, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler talked a big game about FTR running the division and being unstoppable. They even held a moment of silence for the careers of Cage and Cope and mocked their five-second pose with a 10-second pose.
While the promo was short and sweet, it also felt completely unnecessary. Nobody interrupted them to begin a new feud, and they didn't say anything we don't already know.
Grade: C
Kevin Knight vs. Claudio Castagnoli
4 of 9
Last time in action: Kevin Knight won the Casino Gauntlet (Dynasty), United Empire defeated Death Riders (Dynamite, April 8)
The first of three title matches on the card saw Claudio Castagnoli challenge the new TNT champion, Kevin Knight.
Knight caught Castagnoli off guard with a sunset flip to get the match going, but once The Swiss Superman recovered, he started taking it to his opponent.
While their styles are different, both men are very physical wrestlers, so they were able to blend their offense together to make an enjoyable fight. Even with Castagnoli's edge in experience, it never felt like Knight was a big underdog.
After a solid back-and-forth contest with no interference of shenanigans, Knight got the win to retain his title. He gave a promo to his home state crowd of Washington and gave props to Claudio for a good fight.
Result: Knight defeated Castagnoli
Grade: B+
Notable Moments and Observations
Chris Jericho is Back and Ricochet is Bald
5 of 9
Chris Jericho joined Renee in the ring for an interview. Despite losing to Ricochet at Dynasty, he seemed to be in good spirits and smiled as the crowd chanted his name.
He said that even though he was outnumbered three to one, he wanted to congratulate Ricochet on his win. This is when The Demand made its arrival on the stage. Ricochet said he respects Jericho, but couldn't pass up the chance to beat him with his own Lionsault.
He threatened for The Demand to beat up Jericho every week he shows up, so he may as well just quit. Jericho called him bald repeatedly as he taunted him and challenged him to come to the ring for a fight.
Ricochet told Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun to stay on the stage no matter what happens, and then he went to the ring and began fighting with Y2J. As expected, Liona and Kaun eventually joined the fight anyway. Nobody came to help Jericho, so he was left lying in the ring.
If this feud is to continue, this was an easy way to do it.
Grade: B-
Will Ospreay vs. Hechicero
6 of 9
Last time in action: Will Ospreay lost to Jon Moxley (Dynasty), The Don Callis Family lost to The Young Bucks (Collision, April 8)
Will Ospreay was favoring his left arm as he took off his jacket prior to his match against the CMLL world champion, Hechicero.
Billy Goat may be known as one of the best high-flyers, but he is also capable of wrestling a more technical match when needed, so he and Hechicero had no issues finding their groove right out of the gate.
Marina Shafir was shown watching from the crowd as the technical wizard began to go after Ospreay's previously injured neck. The crowd chanted for the former IWGP champion as he began making a comeback.
This was a good performance from both men, but Ospreay having to sell a couple of injuries prevented them from going full throttle. They had the doctor check on Ospreay after an especially brutal assault on his neck.
The Aerial Assassin found enough time to hit a Hidden Blade for the win, but he was clearly feeling every second of that match. He stared down Shafir in the crowd when he was done, but Mark Davis attacked him from behind and hit a piledriver.
Result: Ospreay defeated Hechicero
Grade: B+
Notable Moments and Observations
Willow Nightingale vs. Kamille
7 of 9
Last time in action: Willow defeated Queen Aminata (Dynamite, April 8), Kamille defeated Big Anne (Dynasty)
Thekla appeared in the crowd with a mic and bragged about beating Jamie Hayter at Dynasty until Alex Windsor came out to respond. Windsor thwarted an attack from Julia Hart and Skye Blue to end the segment.
Up next was Kamille challenging Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship. Kamille attacked Willow on Sunday and picked up a squash win, so Nightingale was hoping to stop her momentum dead in its tracks.
They were already throwing punches before the ref had a chance to start the match. The champion was aggressive and took Kamille to the corner and slammed her head into the turnbuckle several times.
Both of these women could be classified as powerhouses, but Nightingale clearly had the advantage in that department. Still, the former muscle for Mercedes Moné didn't make it easy for her.
Most of this bout was good, but there were moments when it felt like they slowed the pace down a little too much. Much like Ospreay, Willow selling an arm injury forced them into a certain kind of fight.
The Babe with the Power squeaked out the win to retain her title against a game Kamille.
Result: Nightingale defeated Kamille
Grade: B-
Notable Moments and Observations
MJF vs. Darby Allin
8 of 9
Last time in action: Darby Allin defeated Andrade El Idolo (Dynasty), MJF defeated Kenny Omega (Dynasty)
Sting showed up backstage to give Allin a pep talk before he made his way to the ring for his main event world title match against MJF. The match didn't get started until after the show would have usually ended, but the announcers said they would show it in its entirety.
MJF handed Aubrey his diamond ring so she would have to turn her back to get rid of it so he could hit a low blow, but Allin got his payback a moment later with one of his own.
The risk-taker then hit four Coffin Drops in a row, one from each corner, before using a side headlock takeover to get the win and become the new AEW champion.
This might be the hardest match to grade in AEW history. Was it a good match from a technical standpoint? No, it was basically seven moves from start to finish and only lasted a couple of minutes.
However, the way everything was built up, and the way the crowd reacted to Allin finally winning the big one was perfect. Sometimes you don't need a long, drawn-out match to make a moment feel special, and the execution here was the best possible way to do something like that.
Even with the match itself not being a five-star classic, we have to award it a high grade simply for how well it was all done from start to finish. Several wrestlers came out from the back to congratulate the new champion, including Brody King, The Young Bucks, Sting, and about a dozen others.
Result: Allin defeated MJF
Grade: A

The Final Word
9 of 9.jpg)
The post-Dynasty episode of Dynamite did a good job balancing the fallout from the PPV while continuing some of the stories that were part of the event.
Nightingale and Knight both looked good in their successful title defenses, and Hechicero and Ospreay put on an enjoyable performance with some unique spots.
A couple of the non-wrestling segments felt like filler, but it wasn't enough to ruin the pacing of the show or distract from anything else.
Bookending the episode with Allin and MJF was a smart move. Allin was as over as ever, and MJF was playing the cowardly heel like a pro as he tried to weasel out of the match.
The way the show ended was definitely a feel-good moment for anyone who considered themselves a fan of Allin.
It would have been nice to see a couple more of the matches from Dynasty addressed, but Collision can fix that issue this week.
